Great new term instead of "conservative"--"REGRESSIVES"
Don't you love that?

It sums it all up--the war-mongering, the superstitious 'religiousity,' the roll-back of the New Deal, the survival of the fittest mentality.

1. I am fond of Thom Hartmann's "Cons"
Which we all know they should be! I prefer Sorry SOBs, though...

2. I'll buy it.... I tend to use 1900's verbiage anyway...
to describe what's going on politically, "robber barons", etc.

This is pretty much where they want to take us. Problem is, average people are so utterly in the dark about their own history ( thank you USA public education) that I don't think it sinks in.

4. It's how I've thought of them all along.
Glad to see it 'in print', and hope to hear it on the airways. But I won't hold my breath!;>)

5. Yep, I've been using it. It describes them perfectly.
They're not conservative, because they are no conserving anything. They want to turn back the clock.

6. It's appropriate enough
When you look at the state of the world, the democrats are the true conservatives, ironically enough. After all, conservatives believe that BILLS SHOULD BE PAID, and deficits not run up to the ceiling. They don't care for excessive foreign entanglements, either.

Of course, if you really want to be accurate about the GOP, they are a bunch of crazy assholes who want to ruin the country, but no newsman on tv will say that!

7. It's not really new, it's been around for a while now.
But you're right, it's an excellent term. I wonder who first coined it?
