Ann Coulter, author of four New York Times bestsellers including How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), will speak at St. Olaf College on Sunday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in Boe Memorial Chapel. Known for her highly conservative political views, the topic of Coulter's talk is "Liberalism and Terrorism: different stages of the same disease." Her lecture is free and open to the public.
The student-run Political Awareness Committee is sponsoring Coulter's appearance at St. Olaf College. Past speakers have included Janet Reno, Newt Gingrich, Al Gore, Bob Woodward, Maya Angelou and, most recently, former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura.
Coulter, a former attorney and congressional aide in Washington D.C., is currently the legal correspondent for Human Events and writes a syndicated column for Universal Press Syndicate. She is a frequent guest and political commentator on many television talk shows, including "The O'Reilly Factor," "Real Time with Bill Maher" and "Good Morning America." Coulter also has been profiled in numerous publications, including Time, New York Observer, National Journal, Harper's Bazaar and Elle.
Coulter's bestsellers include Treason: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War on Terrorism, Slander: Liberal Lies about the American Right, and High Crimes and Misdemeanors: The Case Against Bill Clinton.
