1. Oh hell no!
DeLay serves our purposes MUCH better by staying right where he is, highlighting the ethics of the Repug party on the front page every day.

4. Don't agree. Part of the Repub mystique is the teflon.
Once you cut through that to the rancid fat inside, and people can smell the stink, they'll know these guys aren't invincible, and in fact aren't even very smart.

Let's sink the bastard -- for a start.

8. I agree, this is one of those polls where I would vote NO, so I'll just

abstain.

Keep his stinky carcass right where it is and TURN UP THE HEAT!!

WAIT A MINUTE! I just caught the phrasing of the question; Should he resign because of ethics "QUESTIONS"? Hell no, he should resign because HE HAS NO ETHICS, is a slime, a cheat and is pushing an anti-American agenda, the fact that people are finally getting around to "question" his sorry ass is irrelevant.

That way he can show the radical right wing nuts who support his agenda in their true light.
That way he can Drag them down too.
06 is just around the corner.

Kinda puts the kibosh on the whole 'faith-based' government, I'm hoping.

9. I'm worried that DeLay might go down....
...without taking the whole of the current GOP leadership with him.

I worry that they're gonna throw us DeLay as a bone, while the bigger dogs doing real damage stay in power. I don't want JUST DeLay gone, I want the whole Cult Inner Circle removed from office.

11. DeLay will fight like a cornered rat
And Democrats will be the better for it. Already, DeLay is demanding loyalty oaths from his House and Senate colleagues, or he's threatening to pinch off the money flow into their campaigns. He's being successful in getting other House Republicans on the record as supporting him, statements that will surely come back to bite these folks in their ample asses in the 2006 election.

I can't think of too many people who are going to be sympathetic to their Representative when he whines about how tough it is to raise money for a campaign and he just HAD to support Tom DeLay or risk running without any funds. And after DeLay's fall, they're not going to be able to go with that "we didn't know he was guilty" excuse. Maybe they can get away with "we didn't know he was THAT guilty," but I doubt even that will get much traction.

DeLay didn't bite, claw, lie, cheat and steal his way to be the King Shit of Turd Island just to walk away when he was caught. He'll battle on and on, listening to his closest sycophants and yes-men and ignoring everyone else.
