Should he be elected (which he will be), he will appoint someone to serve the remainder of his term, which expires in 2006 (I believe).

The dumbasses around here can't quite seem to get that "Are you a lesbian?" is neither an interesting question, nor a funny one, nor one she hasn't heard before, nor one that has any bearing on whether she's a good Governor or not.

However, my girlfriend bristles at the sound of her name. Apperently when she was still AG she spoke to her high school class, at the best high school in the area, and talked to them as though the students were first graders.

Mayor Michael Coleman of Columbus confirmed what many have speculated about for months when he announced he is running for governor of Ohio.

Since Ohio was already noted, I thought I'd add this tid-bit. lol

edit: He's a Dem. :) Not to be confused with Columbus' own Blackwell (jerk) --history note-- guy that screwed with Ohio vote. (like you guys don't know that!)

71. Here's another photo of Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman

Hopefully, he will be the next governor of Ohio. I don't think this state can take another 4 years under an inept Repug like Taft. Columbus seems to have done well under Coleman's tenure, so hopefully he can bring the same back to the state as a whole.

Though in some ways, I wish this guy were running...

Don Plusquellic, Mayor of Akron and President of the US Conference of Mayors. If you count fending off urban decay as a good thing, Akron is arguably the second most prosperous city in Ohio right now. Plusquellic has been a key part of that effort since Akron's famed rubber companies packed up and left town in the 1980s.

72. The ordinary, the irrelevant, George Pataki (R) of New York
Edited on Sun Apr-10-05 04:53 PM by trogdor

The funniest thing happened this year. The state budget, which has been late every year since 1984, was on time. Pataki, who campaigned on this issue back in 1994, has absolutely nothing at all to do with it. The state legislature just figured out it was LOTS easier to hash it out among themselves than to involve the governor.

He'll be gone next year, too. Eliot Spitzer is going to kick his ass all the way back to Peekskill.

“The Massachusetts Democratic Party, proving once again that the Bay State political culture is as forward-looking as it gets, continues its campaign to make fun of (and therefore delegitimize) Gov. Mitt Romney's out-of-state political schedule. Ani-Mitt is their animated, web-based equivalent of the governor, and he has some interesting things to say."

79. Louisiana - "Democrat" Kathleen Blanco

I'm still pissed that she avoided supporting Kerry as much as possible. She was important to keeping LA a Dem stronghold in the south but what good is she if she doesn't support our candidates?

82. Bob Riley (R-AL)
He is a moderate Repub. I can tolerate him compared to the others.

He's toast in '06 though.
