Democrats and Unions to work on political mobilization in April.
Dean's meeting with AFL-CIO last month was private, but this meeting with a lot of Democrats is open to the media. April 18-20. I am glad they are working closely and organizing with them. Howard Dean said the success of the unions and the success of the party go together....paraphrased.

They leave media to GOP. 18 hrs/week of GOP campaign ads, already, for 2OO6. Limbaugh is a campaign ad.

The dems and AFL CIO have never gotten the idea of a media for our side.

We are forever limited to old-style political mobilization: tell friends, go door to door in a few areas of already dem areas.

using eager but .. well.. amateur debaters, not seasoned radio pro hosts.

Any dem leader with good sense would be getting subsidies from DNC and the AFLCIO, to expand AAR air america radio..... OR creating a clone of it run by dems or AFL.... to broadcast in areas not competing with AAR.

But no, that will not happen. Or will it?

We have been waiting since 1920 for a Democratic network on EVERY AMERICAN RADIO. If since '2O, we would have skipped the Great Depression, Nam, Nixon, Reagan, Bushes, Iraq war. We would have President Kucinich today.
