Is mutiny in the air?
All in this morning's news on MSM:

1) The latest intelligence report was "scathing" towards the Bush regime, BLASTING Chimpco, for making things worse, not better, since 911. Up yours, Junior!

2) The Supreme Court just made it easier for people who are 40 or over to sue when it comes to age discrimination at work. Easier to sue?? Wow, that won't make our bozo president very happy. Screw you, Chimpy!

3) And we've got yet another denial of appeal this morning in the Schiavo case by not only the Supreme Court again, but the lower court, too. How's that feel, Georgie and Tommy Boy?

Are some of the people running the other factions of this country finally waking up? Has the reality of what this disastrous president has been doing finally smacked them in the kisser? Is everyone but Pickles finally having enough of Monkey Face?

Maybe I'm trying to see hope where there is none, I don't know, but I've never seen so much open hostility and criticism directed toward the Chimp from so many other places besides just coming from Democrats. Besides us being after him, the Court is going against his wishes, the Committees are trashing him with their reports, and his own loyal followers aren't so loyal all of a sudden. What's going on?

3. Thinking Americans... sometimes slow to wake the f up, eager to learn
the hidden truth, and not very nice when angered.

4. Record-high gasoline prices
are difficult to explain away. Americans believe we have a God-given right to cheap energy. They also believe "peak oil" is a hoax and so any time prices are rising this rapidly, there must be a "conspiracy" behind it. I'm not saying whether there is or isn't. I don't know myself.

But we DO see now why there was such a desperate need beginning this time last year to put the lid on gasoline prices. Prices peaked in March 2004, then stabilized and even went down a bit as Election Day approached. I have heard a very plausible explanation for this. Big Oil agreed with the Chimpministration to market gasoline on a break-even or even loss basis through the summer last year. Now they are making up for what they lost last year in order to ensure Chimpy's reselection.

5. Also, Bu$h and Congress' intervention in Schiavo case condemned by judge.
Judge Stanley F. Birch Jr., appointed by the first President Bush in 1990, wrote that federal courts had no jurisdiction in the case and that the law enacted by Congress and President Bush allowing the Schindlers to seek a federal court review was unconstitutional.

"When the fervor of political passions moves the executive and legislative branches to act in ways inimical to basic constitutional principles, it is the duty of the judiciary to intervene," wrote Judge Birch, who has a reputation as consistently conservative. "If sacrifices to the independence of the judiciary are permitted today, precedent is established for the constitutional transgressions of tomorrow."

Not just another denial of appeal by the 11th Circuit Court, but a major smack-down by a conservative federal judge appointed by Bush-boy's daddy!

6. Don't forget Danforth . . .
Great article yesterday from former Rep. Senator JOhn Danforth slamming Bush admin on pandering to fundamentalist whack jobs. Money quote was something like, "I worry about the deficit every day but I've never spent a moment worrying about gay people getting married."

9. With a nation composed of knuckle dragging rednecks and bible bashers
I still think Chimp and Co. can get away with anything.

I'm sure Rove is frantically searching for another Terri. Get ready for a massive slew of Micheal "Breaking News" on CNN.

10. the Democratic Party gets credit for none of those things ...
the point you made may well be a sign that the neo-con-troll of our government is not absolute ... you stated:

I've never seen so much open hostility and criticism directed toward the Chimp from so many other places besides just coming from Democrats.

i'm afraid that's the main point ... how many Americans will wake up today thinking that the Democratic Party has shown real leadership and has presented the best ideas to move the country forward?

Bill Bradley's great editorial in yesterday's NY Times was right on the money ... the Party is an upside down pyramid ... it teeters on one nominee rather that having a nominee "emerge" from the collective wisdom and values of the Party's base ... the base should be the foundation of the Party but, until real reforms are put in place, that just isn't the case ...

13. I couldn't agree with you more, Terrier
In a way it's a shame that the demise of the other side will probably come as a result of dissatisfaction from its own inner factions, rather than as a result of our party putting the stomp on them. We have so much ground to catch up on it's unfathomable.

Please don't call them the MSM!! Their agenda of greed and manipulation is NOT "mainstream"!!! Please call them the Corporate Media!!

Okay...

14. Sshhh.. dissension within military at all levels-NextDuty? re CitiZenMedia
I Think this is the 'front' CitizenMedia & DU needs to expose & expound on, that can STOP this illegal war, turn things around BACK to a constitutional representative government and begin the healing process of our country's standing, reputation in a world begging for multilateral cooperation.

I believe this is an important moment and fact for NewMedia, CitizenMedia, The People to bring to the fore.

The next accomplishment after helping to SPUR:

(1)The Ohio Electoral challenge
(2)GannonGate including multi-aspects of that mysterious scandal almost broken wide open...and still percolating
(3)almost undeniable PROOF of ExitPoll chicanery
(4)beginning exposure and disgust with the New McCarthyism, recycling of 'red-baiting'

signs of dissension and renewed respect in veterans & military for upholding constitutional oaths ?

1~Huge protest at Fort Bragg attended by soldiers and their family who have served in this latest bogus assault, including soldiers on leave. {u}interviews with young soldiers at protest @
http://www.axisoflogic.com/artman/publish/article_16481.shtml

2~disgust in the guard and reserves of being 'played' involuntary tours extended etc.

3~concientous objectors and websites to help facilitate and support them

4~118 chapters of Veterans for peace call for Impeachment, ie; Mike Ferners public speeches and editorials

5~Stan Goff organizing, speaking out quoting here from recent interview:
Can you give me an idea of the level of opposition to Bush's war drive within the US armed forces?

That's difficult to do for at least two reasons — first, because there is just no way of getting some kind of representative sample for a number of demographic and technical reasons, and second, because there are so many different dimensions of “opposition”.

What we can see are tendencies. In the military organising that I have been involved with, we are seeing the institutional breakdown of the military via the increasing numbers of dissenters, deserters and refusers. We are connected with various outreach and counselling efforts, so this is something we can measure. And the numbers are climbing, fast.

The longer this goes on, the worse it will be, and that's why there are cracks developing inside the Pentagon. There are generals who are both opposed to this war and devoted to the military.

Stan Goff: “We can win, and we will win”

6~inadequate treatment of returning vets..body or mind injured, care, benefits etc.

7~reports of number of disabilities AND deaths from Gulf War 1, hushed du poisoning studies

8~recent report, today! I think of more need and freedom for dissension at upper levels of command, tightening cabal excluding those high ranking officials who are not happy

9~resignation before war and shortly after of diplomats and their scathing resignation letters

and..10~outside military MSM polls showing high #'s of the general public opposed to this war

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THIS A PROJECT FOR THE PROGRESSIVE+ INTERNET & FOR THOSE OF US WHO STILL HAVE TWO HANDS TO WRITE AND GIVE WITH AND TWO FEET TO MARCH WITH AND ACCESS TO INFO, SUCH AS USE OF BANNED WEAPONS, TARGETING OF JOURNALISTS & JUST THE BASIC ILLEGALITY OF THIS QUAGMIRE, NOT TO MENTION THE STRAIN ON OUR DOMESTIC NEEDS AND ECONOMY...IS THIS?

THE ONE ISSUE TO SEIZE THAT WILL MAKE A LOAD OF DIFFERENCE ON MANY OTHER SPIN-OFF DILEMNA'S

Isn't it our citizen's duty to speak up and mobilize and confront our claimed to be elected government, our servants to get real and clean up our o w n H O U S E, and resurrect Democracy here~~~ before we can impose it at the point of the gun elsewhere?

is this the next challenge "Gate" for The People-of-The Web to ameliorate?

15. One can only hope...
and spread dissent against this regieme, of course. I've made it a special point to indulge "dissatisfied" conservatives over the last couple of days when they bitch about the "new" problems with Bush, including Terri Schiavo. These are people I wouldn't have given the time of day to a fortnight ago. I hope we are all making an effort to fan the flames (respectfully whenever possible).
