Why no outcry over womanizing Wolfowitz?
The stench from the Republican hypocrisy is unbearable over this one.

Wolfowitz has a girlfriend -- an Arab feminist from Saudi Arabia who works at the World Bank:

His marital status is unclear. But apparently his running around prompted his wife to write a letter to Bush warning of a possible national security threat.

So why no special prosecutor? I'm sure she must have a blue dress.

1. We can certainly comndemn his cheating on his wife
if this is what he does (I understood they were separated), and clearly Republicans are hypocritical, but there is no ground for a special prosecutor or anything like that. Even the worse Republicans did not try to say Clinton should be impeached for cheating on Hillary. They did it on the ground that he potentially lied under oath about his cheating.

2. Adultery doesn't concern the religious reich when the GOP does it
Just as Falwell and his gang only hate gay people who are NOT prostitutes who prop up the pResident while posing as journalists.

3. I don't care who sub-W sleeps with; but I do care WHY he makes his
foreign policy decisions. And if it's because she was giving the best head in the goddamn world, then we're looking at the goddamn Trojan War all over again.

11. Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner
If the hypocrisy didn't rise up and slap us across the face with such regularity, it would be breath-taking.

16. No, it's a youthful indiscretion
even if it happened yesterday & Wolfowitz is 70 years old.

5. It Is Baffling
Not only because he has a girlfriend when the pugs are so sanctimonious about this sort of thing, but she, apparently, is the one who goaded him into his neo-con position on Iraq. What's he going to give her for their "anniversary", Iran?

8. Why do you assume that??
Wolvowitz has been a hawk and part of the neocons long before he met this woman, if I have read says. Do you really think he is NOT able to take his bad decisions by himself? (Is she bad because she wants more democracy in the Middle East as a person originated from the Middle East and knowing what she is talking about, contrarely to many here, or is it just because she is a woman)?

13. The Guardian Article Posted Here On DU
Edited on Mon Mar-28-05 12:49 PM by Me.
last week, made the point that she was influential in his decision making process and had used her relationship to urge the war in Iraq. It is also the reason why, upper level staff members of the world bank are making a fuss about him possibly heading the bank. They feel he is too easily influenced by the woman and question his ability to make good judgments on his own. Sorry I no longer have the link. As for democracy in the ME, I am all for it as long as we are not lied into doing it or footing the bill entirely by ourselves. And no, as a woman, I do not have a problem with women having an influence in shaping the world, but I do mind someone who isn't even a citizen trying to shape our policy quite like I minded Chalabi and his cohorts doing so.

15. I kind of doubt the Guardian is right about that
Wolfvowitz has been from the neocons school for years now and promoting the same agenda for years (during early 90s already). This is not something new on his part. He was recruited by Pearle years ago and, except if you tell me that Pearle (sp?) is influenced by this woman, I think Wolvowitz can probably make his decisions on his own.

18. Where's the "IMO?"
Is this your opinion? :)

People with high-level security clearances are screened for their susceptibility to blackmail. This is the main problem I see with PW's affair. I don't really care who he screws or who he is married to but the standards should apply equally to all.

I doubt that there is a security problem in this case.

Just another example of mind-numbing republican hypocrisy.

20. You Are Correct About Wolfowitz
having been recruited by Pearle and having served the neo-con ideology for years however neither statement negates the other, nor are mutually exclusive.

sleep with each other in a big bed. They only cry out when someone has a sex dream about defiling democracy.

The speakers, the megaphones, the Forum- all owned by pals of the Wolf.

The rest of us are allowed to say "Ouch."

21. I have a hard time believing this
Have you looked at Wolfowitz? The idea that even his wife would sleep with him is hard to believe, let alone any other woman with an active sense of sight or smell.
Ugh, I guess some women do find power sexy, moreso than class or appearance.
