Why would I want to block Fox? The women on that station are SO HOT! Have you seen the women on that channel? My male eyes just can't leave the screen. :D

Seriously though there's no need to block Fox News. Getting a different opinion is not a bad thing. Although I've never seen Sean Hannity make a solid point (I don't watch his show that much), Bill O'Reilly makes some solid points every now and then.

But shows like Heartland make me cringe. I would also never rely on Fox News (or CNN and MSNBC) for my news.

8. FREEP! please.. its called propaganda and you are brainwashed!
its not a different opinion, its a different set of facts, designed to cause division in the country and support bush lies... why do you think so many people think we found WMD's.. or Osama was working with Saddam..LIES! The Schiavo case clearly shows this, as fox fuels the fires by supporting claims that Terri can recover.. and making accusation against Micheal that are totally baseless. The fools that look at the tape and make a diagnosis are so wrong, the courts have reveiwed the facts over and over and the same result.. She's braindead and wont want to live like that.. would you? Would YOU want to put your family through this nightmare? We are all gonna die. (oh.. and BTW, if someone DID get in and pour water in her mouth.. she'd drown!) This leads to a national debate on false facts..I mean, if I believed what fox says, I'd not want her to die either, but the facts are sadly that she has no brain left... so are nation becomes more divided. fox is evil and it undermines our country, Its a lie machine and O'rielly has NEVER made a valid point! WAKE UP FREEP! 6 posts huh!

Griffy,

FREEP! please.. its called propaganda and you are brainwashed!

How am I brainwashed?

its not a different opinion, its a different set of facts

Different sources, yes. Fox News is going to use sources that back up their agenda.

designed to cause division in the country and support bush lies...

Fox News is a conservative news channel. I don't think anyone disputes that. So them trying to support their political philosophy is of no surprise or concern to me.

why do you think so many people think we found WMD's.. or Osama was working with Saddam..LIES!

You're preaching to the choir on this one.

The Schiavo case clearly shows this, as fox fuels the fires by supporting claims that Terri can recover..

They are trying to present the right-wing case. Just as I'm sure there are many other media outlets that try and present their case. This is why having a strong and independent mind is needed. So you can view both sides (and everywhere in between) and form your own opinion.

and making accusation against Micheal that are totally baseless. The fools that look at the tape and make a diagnosis are so wrong, the courts have reveiwed the facts over and over and the same result..

I have not formed an opinion on this case yet so I cannot comment.

She's braindead and wont want to live like that.. would you?

If I was brain dead I wouldn't be living anyway. Would I want to put an end to all activity in my body if my brain was dead? Yes.

Would YOU want to put your family through this nightmare?

Ofcourse not.

We are all gonna die. (oh.. and BTW, if someone DID get in and pour water in her mouth.. she'd drown!) This leads to a national debate on false facts..I mean, if I believed what fox says, I'd not want her to die either, but the facts are sadly that she has no brain left...

I don't believe everything Fox News says. I am VERY skeptical of Fox News and take everything they say with a grain of salt. I try and find as much information about a story as I can from as many different sources as I can find. So I get a more balanced look.

so are nation becomes more divided. fox is evil and it undermines our country, Its a lie machine and O'rielly has NEVER made a valid point! WAKE UP FREEP! 6 posts huh!

Is this fair? I am not a freeper. I am an Independent and am progressive in my thinking. I have watched Bill O'Reilly before and have agreed with him. I don't agree with the majority of what he says but he has made some points in the past that I agree with. Please don't judge me just because I happen to disagree with you about Fox News. I only have 6 posts because I'm fairly new.

Blocking Fox News is not the answer. The answer is to teach your children to think independently so they can watch Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly and can say I agree with that or I disagree with that.

14. I highly recommend you watch "Outfoxed"

When you watch Fox you are providing financial support (via ratings) to the mouthpiece of the rightwing "ownership" hierarchy which rules through misinformation, fear, jingoism, and an alliance with fundamentalists and Moonies.

15. Opinion is not the same as purposely lying!
1st of all.. "How am I brainwashed?" Because you cant see the propaganda you are being feed. The statement you make show that you haven't stepped far enough back to see that the division in America is less because we disagree on what to do.. its because we are being feed different information. This is what Howard Dean said at the fundraiser in DC last week, and I totally agree! You seem to have enough common sense to be skeptical, but are still in denial that a Pravda like media sources has the ear of millions of Americans. This Schiavo case is a clear indicator of this, just ask people if Terri is aware... fox news watchers tend to think so, and thats not by chance, its by design. It is not "opinion" that she is aware, its a lie.. AND THEY KNOW IT.. THATS WHAT MAKES IT A LIE!

so you say "Different sources, yes. Fox News is going to use sources that back up their agenda." ... the source is the republican party talking points! Unless you think nothing is really knowable so everything is opinion. and yes.. fox will use bogus sources to back their lies. I dare you to show me some truth from fox! or a "source"... good luck

"Fox News is a conservative news channel. I don't think anyone disputes that. So them trying to support their political philosophy is of no surprise or concern to me."

I DISPUTE THAT!!!! ITS NOT NEWS!!! news is fact.. ITS PROPAGANDA.. connected to, and coordinating with, the republican party... don't be naive!

This made me think...

Griffy - why do you think so many people think we found WMD's.. or Osama was working with Saddam..LIES!

DG - You're preaching to the choir on this one.

So.. you agree that no WMD's or Saddam links.. but your missing the questions.. which is why so many OTHERS think that.. its because they believe fox lies.. cant you see the connection?! It is damning evidence that fox watchers believe in things that ONLY fox viewers believe... ITS BECAUSE OF LIES! your not the choir.... if so you would join in BANNING payola, propaganda and fox. The publics interest should be served... and if we allow anyone to claim they are "news" we get propaganda acting like news. Haven't you been following the state sponsored news that we have been uncovering? Maybe you don't want food labels... since you don't want to know whats going into your head. ... Try this.. would you take a course on a subject if you knew it was fake. (like... reflexology).. spend time and money to learn things that aren't true? NEWS used to mean something... do some research on the Fairness Doctrine that was canceled in '88, or Anti Trust laws that cleared the way for the media conglomerates we have today!

I hope I'm being somewhat clear... that we do have facts in this world, and fox twists those and plays on emotions to mislead the people. The MSM is dead... none of the TV news outlets are serving the people (Sundance and some PBS still struggle to present facts)

Then you go into showing that we agree on whats right... as I said, because we both have the same REAL facts on her medical condition, and the court transcripts.

finally..
I will say that "freep" is a bit harsh and unfairly judgemental... perhaps, but Dem's in denial aggravate me even more... its like they are still giving bush-co the benefit of the doubt?! So I'll give you a chance to learn... try this.. bush lost the election, the counting was rigged... once you see the extent of the bush system of corruption you will see fox's place as a propaganda outlet. Its all connected, the world is not black and white!

1st of all.. "How am I brainwashed?" Because you cant see the propaganda you are being feed.

Yes I can. I already know Fox News (the majority of the time) is going to side with the republicans. I've noticed their patterns. They will go mostly right-wing and throw in some criticism of republicans every now and then to give the illusion of balance. I find the catch phrase ''fair and balanced'' laughable. I don't know they say it with a straight face.

The statement you make show that you haven't stepped far enough back to see that the division in America is less because we disagree on what to do.. its because we are being feed different information.

You're assumption is wrong because I agree that we are all getting different information because there is so much news out there now thanks to the internet and talk radio. This is why I don't hold opinions too firmly. Kind of like science, opinions change when new information is brought forward.

This is what Howard Dean said at the fundraiser in DC last week, and I totally agree! You seem to have enough common sense to be skeptical, but are still in denial that a Pravda like media sources has the ear of millions of Americans.

How am I in denial of anything? I have already told you two things. 1) I am skeptical of anything Fox News says but there are some pundits on there that I watch like Bill O'Reilly and 2) I don't count on Fox News alone to give me facts. If I were to hear something on Fox News that interested me I'd look it up on the net to get more information. Just because I watch Fox News and believe O'Reilly makes some solid points every now and then doesn't mean I believe everything they say.

Different doctors are saying different things. They are only going to use the opinions of doctors that fit their agenda.

so you say "Different sources, yes. Fox News is going to use sources that back up their agenda." ... the source is the republican party talking points!

So? They are a conservative news outlet. Ofcourse they are going to use republican talking points.

Unless you think nothing is really knowable so everything is opinion.

What I'm saying is this. Whether you're a conservative or liberal outlet, you can spin and use sources that back up your agenda. Checking on different sources from all the media that's available out there and separating the facts from spin and opinion is not easy, but if I want to be able to form a solid opinion on something I have to do it.

and yes.. fox will use bogus sources to back their lies. I dare you to show me some truth from fox! or a "source"... good luck

Fox News does have truth. There has to be some sort of truth or there can't be anything to spin and twist to fit their agenda. You are only seeing the spun up and twisted version of the truth.

Michael Shiavo is murdering his wife by removing the feeding tube.

Fact is in bold and spin is in italics.

I DISPUTE THAT!!!! ITS NOT NEWS!!! news is fact..

They do report facts but they also spin them to fit their agenda.

ITS PROPAGANDA.. connected to, and coordinating with, the republican party... don't be naive!

SO WHAT? You know that, I know that so what's the big deal? If republican news offends you so much, don't watch it. I remember when (they still do actually) right wingers called CNN propaganda because it was owned by Ted Turner. You call it what you want, I call it news that's presented in a conservative filter and spun to fit the conservative agenda.

So.. you agree that no WMD's or Saddam links.. but your missing the questions.. which is why so many OTHERS think that..its because they believe fox lies.. cant you see the connection?!

It's because they rely on cable news for their information. They trust Fox News when they say ''fair and balanced''. You can call their spin lies all you want but I'll will make my own desicion on whether or not the view presented is right.

It is damning evidence that fox watchers believe in things that ONLY fox viewers believe... ITS BECAUSE OF LIES! your not the choir.... if so you would join in BANNING payola, propaganda and fox.

No I'm not going to join the fight to ban Fox News. It doesn't hurt me if people want to believe everything Fox News says, it's their choice.

The publics interest should be served...

And the public will decide what their interests are. You decide what your interest is and I will decide what mine is. Fox News is doing good because people keep watching it. It's their choice.

and if we allow anyone to claim they are "news" we get propaganda acting like news.

They do report news but they also have tons of spin.

Haven't you been following the state sponsored news that we have been uncovering?

Yes.

Maybe you don't want food labels... since you don't want to know whats going into your head.

How many times do I have to say that I don't trust everything a single source says? I only believe something if I have enough sources that can add up and paint a picture. Even then I still keep my opinions at arms length. Every news outlet is going to have some spin, you just have to separate it from fact.

Try this.. would you take a course on a subject if you knew it was fake. (like... reflexology).. spend time and money to learn things that aren't true?

What does this have to do with me tuning in to see pundits on Fox News?

NEWS used to mean something...

There is still news. The internet is a great tool.

do some research on the Fairness Doctrine that was canceled in '88, or Anti Trust laws that cleared the way for the media conglomerates we have today!

You're assuming I'm not aware of the agendas behind the mainstream media, you're assumption is wrong.

I hope I'm being somewhat clear...that we do have facts in this world, and fox twists those and plays on emotions to mislead the people.

They want to spread their agenda and beliefs, yes. There will always be sheep that accept their spin.

The MSM is dead... none of the TV news outlets are serving the people (Sundance and some PBS still struggle to present facts)

The mainstream media is going to change. The internet is going to turn into one big news source.

Then you go into showing that we agree on whats right... as I said, because we both have the same REAL facts on her medical condition, and the court transcripts.

I'm not sure what you're talking about on this one. I haven't given my opinion on this case yet. I'm still learning about it.

finally..
I will say that "freep" is a bit harsh and unfairly judgemental... perhaps, but Dem's in denial aggravate me even more...

I'm not a democrat and I'm not in denial. I lean a little left but I don't belong to any political party. I am registered as a democrat but only so I can vote in the primaries because I agree more with the democrats than I do with the republicans, especially the way the religious right has hijacked that party.

its like they are still giving bush-co the benefit of the doubt?!

I have no idea where you get this from. I am VERY anti-bush. We haven't even gotten into my opinion on Bush yet so don't jump to conclusions.

So I'll give you a chance to learn... try this.. bush lost the election, the counting was rigged... once you see the extent of the bush system of corruption you will see fox's place as a propaganda outlet. Its all connected, the world is not black and white!

I know the world is not black and white. The simple fact is this, EVERYONE wants to rule the world. Those in power to do so need to be watched very closely. I am somewhat familiar with the case of election fraud but not enough to form an opinion yet. This does not mean I'm in denial, it means I haven't read up on it. Don't confuse me not having an active opinion to me being against you.

I could care less what Fox News says and what agenda they are pushing, because I am independent enough to make up my own mind on things. I hardly ever watch their regular reporting. Just stuff like Brit Hume and Bill O'Reilly. The latter gets some good guest too.

11. "Inside Edition" and Bill O'Reilly...
I'd forgotten until recently that O'Reilly made his career on "Inside Edition", a syndicated tabloid program made popular in the late 1980's. I guess Faux followed a winning format.

Didn't Al Franken catch him on a lie involving Inside Edition? Something about two peabody awards.

17. Become a FOXBlocker.... FREE
One of our readers called our attention to National Cable & Telecommunications Association's content blocking policy. What this basically says is that the cable company MUST PROVIDE blocking services for ANY channel upon request. Since most cable providers are members of this group, we have decided to change our strategy.

Rather than raising awareness through SALE of our FOXBlocker product, we have decided to take a new, FREE approach to making FOX admit their bias.

Using this website, you can become a FOXBlocker.....someone who has forced the cable company to block FOX News. By sharing this site with your friends and family, you can earn cool FOXBlocker gear.
