LITTLE ROCK - Asa Hutchinson, the former Republican congressman who just left his post as Homeland Security undersecretary, announced Saturday that he will run for Arkansas governor in 2006.

These folks long ago abandoned conservative principles--Dubya and his cronies are old-fashioned robber barons who have brought neither honor nor integrity to the White House.

Running up massive debts to destroy the social compact of the government to its taxpaying citizens, destroying the environment to maximize profits, engaging in unilateral and unnecessary wars--a shameful legacy for a party who dares to call themselves "conservative."

4. Well, unfortunately

Asa is very popular here in Arkansas. Personally, I dislike him entirely my husband and I had a counsel with him once when he was just practicing law only. He is a very conservative prude and an excellent attorney.
Also, he got my nephew off a drug charge (really he did it though).
Asa will use religion big time, he knows nothing about public schools though and that I can attest too.
His children went to private school, I believe Christian not Catholic School.

He's a graduate of Bob Jones University. I believe he was the Undersecretary for Border Security for the Homeland Security Dept. Remember the secure borders we have now???

Beebe isn't that strong. He's just kind of your run of he mill, bigger-than-small-time-but-not-by-much local pol. He'd be decent but not particularly strong either on the campaign trail or in office. I almost wish that Wesley, Rodney Slater or James Lee Witt would run.
