West Point Debate Captain ready to rumble
General Clark is a 1966 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he graduated first in his class. He holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Clark has steadily improved in delivering his message to the American people...he's ready for prime time and I'm looking forward to a great performance in tonight's debate.

:kick:

Clark has a lot of ground to make up -- mostly against Kerry while Dean will do his best debate EVER tonight -- finally waking the masses in his campaign up and bringing out the best of them -- ensuring a huge victory for Dean, while Kerry falls to 3rd, behind Edwards, and Clark a very poor 5th showing behind Lieberman.

The Dean ads in NH is out already - extremely positive ads, no attacks or anything, and Dean'll kick some more ass, and have more face time in NH with his wife after the debates.

Clark still has to answer for his Iowa skippage, SOA, lobbying, etc. Not a good thing for Clark. It is now five days, and Clark is still not even close to 1.6M in fundraising -- and Dean is already more than halfway to 1M after two days since Iowa.

4. I think your crystal ball may be defective.
A huge victory for Dean? Clark behind Lieberman?

I hope, for your sake, this is more accurate than your Iowa prediction.

"All signs point to no." :P

12. Gotta hand it to you H. Takes gall for a Dean supporter to criticize
any other candidate right now, after he's kicked his own ass
for days.

Best of luck to everyone in the debate!

I'm an Edwards supporter, but I'm glad that people are starting to see the depth we have in our field.

I love that we have two top-tier candidates arguing about which one has the cooler military record, the Vietnam veteran war hero who went on to become a four-star general or the Vietnam veteran war hero who went on to become a distinguised United States Senator.

I love it that we have a candidate who has fought all his life for justice for regular people against major corporate interests, who proved he can stare down and beat the tar out of Republicans on any number of fronts, who is clean as a whistle and can talk grease out of a biscuit.

I love that we have a field of candidates, including a West Point debator, a skilled lawyer, a preacher, and a rabble rouser, any one of whom could debate the pants off of George Bush.

I love it that we have an African American candidate who can look the other candidates in the face and speak truth to power and then, in the next breath, tell one of them that he would love to party with his wife and he gets a big laugh rather than a trip to the morgue.

I am loving this!!!

9. college debating is totally unlike political debating
I'm a Clark supporter and I think he'll do great tonight but I don't think the format for college debating is anything like the format for these debates. I think his brains and knowledge will carry him, not old debating skills from WP. I would imagine Edwards' trial lawyer experience and his ability to "never let them see you sweat" is a much better asset for a political debate.

14. I recall
Kerry was national debate champion at Yale? Is that right?

Edwards has done the best, imo, with his limited time in all the debates in my opinion. He's animated and speaks clearly to everyone.

This isn't flame, just curious if that's true. If it is, we sure have a plethora of EXCELLENT debators.
