Whenever you hear that the Senate filibuster is unconstitutional...
Make sure to stomp on it as the patent nonsense that it is. The Constitution is crystal clear that the Senate determines its own rules for conducting business:

"Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings.."

1. Well, living inTennessee, I just know that Frist is usually wrong.
Whatever side he's on, whatever position he states, whatever "fact" or "information" he talks about is usually:
1) wrong
2) untrue
3) a lie
4) wash, rinse, repeat

So, since he was just on Jim Lehrer saying that the Senate should not filibuster over the extremist judges but should instead perform their duties according to the US Constitution, I knew that he was misrepresenting things.

I know that for many of us it's more complicated than that, but for me it's simple. Whatever position Frist has, I need to be on the opposite position.

2. Be careful the Constitution says,
"Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings" but it doesn't say whether a simple majority is required to change them.

The only thing Dems have going for them is "What goes around, comes around" and Dems only need perhaps 3-5% of voters to recapture the senate. That fear keeps Repubs honest.
