Bush is worse than Hitler
Hitler served in the military and was intelligent and had courage. They are both genocidal maniacs. Bush's cabinet is very Hitleresque: torturers, terrorists, genocidal hatemongers. To see Bush as less bad than Hitler is to subject America to a fate worse than what happened to Germany. There were liberals in Germany who knew what Hitler was up to. Like most of those at the du will likely be, they were the first ones thrown into the death camps. There are 6000+camps in the United States and HR 418 is the authorization to close the borders and turn them into death camps. If you don't have your passport in order, get it in order. Your life could depend on when you leave - not if you leave. American's only current hope is the Internet. That is the only real difference between us and Nazi Germany.

2. More dangerous than Hitler, certainly,
but he has a ways to go before he is as bad from a crimes against humanity point of view.

But he certainly has aspirations!

3. yea, just gotta kill a few more million people.
but he is a monster still. 100000 iraqis, minimum, are dead because of his actions. 1500 (although i'm sure the number is closer to 5000) of our troops are dead bc he felt the need to settle a score with iraq. more will die when we attack iran.

he is a monster. one doesn't need to be as bad as hitler to be a monster, and be unfit to be president.

4. There are similarities, yes.

Our constitution is still active. Germany's was not.
We will still have elections in 2006 and 2008. Germany
did not have any more elections after 1933 when Hilter
consolidated power and became Fuhrer.

* has the potential to be worse b/c he has nukes. Hitler
didn't have nukes or none of us would be here today.

When the blood runs in the streets and people are dying
en masse the way they did then, then yeah, Bush will be
worse.

When martial law is declared and the elections are suspended,
then yeah, he will be worse.

Until then, this is hyperbole.

7. HR 418 assumes there is no Constitution.

13. It's refreshing to see some common sense here
But I'm wondering why the same concerns aren't expressed by most in the "Bush is Hitler" threads.

14. You spit on their graves by letting it happen again
How do you know I'm not related to people who died in the death camps. THe people who best know that Bush is like Hitler are those who have the best grasp on German history.

Bush is not in that league.

22. As has been pointed out HUNDREDS of times...
Hitler didn't start the Final Solution for many years. Frankly, we don't know how far b**sh is willing to go, and I'm hoping we never find out.

Ignoring how dangerous he is - and this includes the real possibility of him surpassing Hitler, should he completely snap - allows it to happen again.

I am confident he isn't going to murder 11 million people. Please get some perspective on the matter before you make us all look like a bunch of wing-nut lunatics.

25. We're not ignoring how dangerous he is.

The OP says he is, present tense, right now, worse than
Hitler. Than plainly is nonsense.

But we're watching and reading Thom Hartmann's latest
column and noting the similarities. He will not get that
far without us screaming bloody murder about it, believe
me. We will not be "Good Germans" and pretend not to
see it.

15. Not that I believe this for a second, BUT
I DO find it interesting to note the newbie-names that spring up to defend "Hitler-lite..."

THAT'S interesting...

There are some comparisons between the rise of the Right in Amerika 2000-2005 and the rise of the Reich in Germany 1927-1937...but to go this far seems a little too left-of-centre...

But I actually wear an AFB from time to time...it helps me sleep when the voices in my head get a little too loud.

;)

Too bad, your name is on it. You're stuck with it.
