Tell me this doesn't make your blood boil
Check out this page - entitled "Holiday Greetings from the GOPUSA Team" - before it disappears from http://www.gopusa.com/misc/christmas_2004.shtml ... particularly the fifth paragraph

In particular, I'd like to thank Terri Hillhouse and the entire GOPUSA team for their drive, dedication, and support. I'd also like to send a special thank you to all those who personally provided me with their assistance, guidance, and friendship, including Kathleen Eberle, Bruce Eberle, Mike Hiban, Don Stewart, Paul Teller, Tim Goeglein, Stuart Richens, Matt Smith, Jen Ohman, Bob Johnson, Liz Sheld, Julie Cram, Phillip Stutts, Chuck Muth, Grover Norquist, Karl Rove, and G. Gordon Liddy.

To your knowledge, has Rove or Norquist ever denied having a relationship with GOPUSA? Liddy is an irrelevant curiosity, at this point.

4. Find out some connections to these names!!!
Here is a good start;
"Phillip has previously worked for Vice President Dan Quayle, Senator John Thune, and managed Congressman Bobby Jindal’s gubernatorial campaign in 2003. He has also served at the Republican National Convention (1996), National Republican Senatorial Committee (1997), Republican National Committee (1999-2001), and the U.S. Department of Education (2001-2002).
Senator John Thune of South Dakota praised Phillip’s reputation, stating: “A winning campaign is based on building an organization from the ground up and developing a plan that incorporates all strategic thinking in order to execute and win. No one knows how to do that better than Phillip Stutts.”

This comes from an article that says he created Phillip Stutts & Company, LLC, a Washington, D.C, a grassroots political organization, LAST WEEK!

7. Here is some more info....
I may have missed this so sorry for the repost but there is an Eberle Communications Group at http://www.ecgone.com/

Seems like all these names are leading to media and training on the agenda, quite a lot like Rove did in his beginning!!! :)

This guy too;

Chuck Muth is President and CEO of Citizen Outreach http://www.citizenoutreach.com and a professional political consultant. He also is a former executive director of the American Conservative Union, a former county GOP chairman, state party executive director, communications director, press secretary, direct mail fundraising consultant and legislative candidate.
His extensive political education background includes: The Republican National Committee’s “Campaign Management College” and “Campaign Finance School,” as well as the Leadership Institute’s “Direct Mail School,” “Grassroots Activists School,” “Public Relations School,” “Campaign Leadership School” and “Campaign Internet School.”
Mr. Muth is a professional campaign trainer and volunteers as a national field instructor for numerous groups and organizations.
More leadership inst!!!

And his name keeps liking to worldprofit.com.

Good find on this Christmas greeting!!!!

8. On Goeglein....
Officially, Goeglein, a 40-year-old who looks as if he would be carded trying to buy a beer, is deputy director of the Office of Public Liaison, one of four White House political departments run by uberstrategist Karl Rove. Yet Goeglein's role is much more central to how this president operates -- and wins elections -- than the job title suggests, according to several Republicans outside and inside the White House.
It is Goeglein's job to make sure conservatives are happy, in the loop and getting their best ideas before the president and turned into laws. With Goeglein's assistance, Christian conservatives, for instance, were successful in lobbying Bush to push for abstinence-first funding to combat AIDs and speak out against the persecution of Christians in Sudan, according to Charles W. Colson, an evangelical Christian who works closely with Bush and Goeglein
source;
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A23206-2004Dec23.html

Religious Broadcasters Encouraged to Pray
Last Wednesday, a group from National Religious Broadcasters attended a briefing at the White House Eisenhower Executive Office Building. The leaders met with Tim Goeglein, Deputy Assistant to the President and White House Liaison to Evangelicals. Goeglein spoke openly of the appreciation of the White House for the mission of the National Religious Broadcasters, of whom the PPT is a member. Goeglein also mentioned that both he and the President are often asked what Christians can do to help them. "The number one thing you can do", said Goeglein, "is to pray. Prayer works."
source;
http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/?id=965

And considering the connection, I found this quote you gotta love;
"I can honestly say to you that it is a remarkably humbling thing. To drive through the gates every day and have three sets of guards be really concerned about what is in the trunk of my car and in my briefcase, to walk where giants have walked."

Connections to evangelicals and Rove again!!!!!

26. Julie Cram was with the Bush campaign
http://www.bm.com/pages/news/releases/2005press-02-08-2005

February 8, 2005 - Burson-Marsteller, a leading global communications agency, has hired Bush-Cheney 2004 Deputy Communications Director Julie Cram as a Director in its Public Affairs Practice in Washington, D.C. The agency also promoted key Washington-office managers into senior leadership positions.

For the past four years, Cram has worked closely with the Bush Administration in a variety of strategic communications positions. Most recently, she worked for Bush-Cheney ‘04 as the Deputy Communications Director for National Surrogate Media; with the Republican National Committee as the Director of Communications for Victory 2004; and as Director of Surrogate Media Operations for the Republican National Convention.

I did a little Googling the other day on "surrogate media" and didn't find much, except that it seems to refer to things like Talon News. It would be interesting to know exactly what Ms. Cram's job descriptions were in her various positions.

27. Phillip Stutts was another Bush campaign person
http://www.politicsla.com/press_releases/2005/february/021405_Grassroots%20Consulting%20Firm.pdf

Phillip Stutts, the Republican National Committee’s 2004 National Director for the 72 Hour Task Force, announced today the creation of Phillip Stutts & Company, LLC, a Washington, D.C. based political and public affairs grassroots consulting firm. Phillip Stutts & Company, LLC, will offer strategic grassroots and ommunications consulting benefiting Republican candidates, political campaigns, state Republican parties, trade associations and corporate clients. Phillip has spent the past nine years organizing winning political campaigns from the local level to the national level serving as a grassroots, communications, and fundraising strategist.

In the 2004 election cycle Phillip directed the 72 Hour Task Force for all 50 states, focusing most intensely on the Bush/Cheney ’04 battleground states. President Bush won reelection with 51% of the vote and is the first President in 68 years to be re-elected while his party increased majorities in the U.S. House and Senate.

Phillip has previously worked for Vice President Dan Quayle, Senator John Thune, and managed Congressman Bobby Jindal’s gubernatorial campaign in 2003. He has also served at the Republican National Convention (1996), National Republican Senatorial Committee (1997), Republican Republican National Committee (1999-2001), and the U.S. Department of Education (2001-2002).

Thune's name is a real red flag at this point. But I also found something interesting about Stuffs and Jindal:

http://www.bestofneworleans.com/dispatch/2003-11-18/news_feat.html

On Nov. 5, however, news of Mayor Ray Nagin's endorsement of Bobby Jindal for governor went beyond ruffling. As soon as he learned of the endorsement, Beach decided to resign as chair of the Mayor's Advisory Committee (MAC) on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues. When he called the six other members of the committee, they told him that they had made the same decision. The entire committee resigned en masse the following day, an event that prompted mention in national media, including The New York Times. Emails flew. A few suggested starting a gay travel boycott of New Orleans -- something that none of those resigning from the mayor's committee would assent to.

<snip>

During the campaign, Jindal declined to meet with members of the Louisiana League for Equality, an umbrella group of GLBT political organizations from around the state that coordinates efforts to pass legislation and also reviews candidates for office. The league structure makes the process easier for candidates, says Christopher Daigle, a political adviser to the Lesbian and Gay Political Action Committee (LAGPAC).

<snip>

The League kept a painstaking account of efforts to contact Jindal. Two invitations to meet with the League, faxed to Jindal's campaign headquarters on Aug. 26 and Sept. 9, went unanswered, as did more than eight phone calls to campaign manager Phillip Stutts and scheduling manager Jamie Tanner.

28. Stutts was with Thune in South Dakota in 2002
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/2002-11-03-party-push-1acover_x.htm

11/4/2002

Republicans, who feel Democrats' voter-turnout efforts have bested theirs in the last two elections, are investing more in the process than ever before. At the direction of President Bush's top political aides, Republican National Committee officials have organized a "72-hour plan" to get GOP voters to the polls. Thousands of canvassers are knocking on doors and working the phones in states with close elections. "This is a massive effort, unlike anything we've done before," says Phillip Stutts, a GOP official in South Dakota.

Democrats are countering with what House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt, D-Mo., describes as "the best grassroots voter-participation effort I have ever seen in my time in politics." Party leaders consider the last-minute grunt work to turn out voters so crucial that Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., spent the weekend ringing doorbells for his home state colleague, Sen. Tim Johnson, locked in a close race with Republican Rep. John Thune.

29. Bob Johnson is probably the Free Republic Network guy
Edited on Wed Feb-23-05 06:59 PM by starroute
It's a common name, but my spidey-sense tells me he's probably the Bob Johnson who's an officer of the Free Republic Network, discussed on a current thread at:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1617801#1618120

The Free Republican Network is part of the Republican attack team, seems to have been involved with both the CBS memos and Gannon, and is now going after AARP.

On edit: Liz Shield is another of those Free Republic Network people. See the thread linked above.

http://www.politicalmonitor.us/blog/_archives/2005/2/21/341875.html

It has some great Gannon links and pulls from the list of The Council for National Policy mambers and leaders. I highly recommend this list. It is listed as a non profit, so we support it, and has the likes of Moon(ie), Ashcroft, Norquist, Coors, Shlafley, Olly North......

This scandal is opening one facet after another!!! Kudo to those people at political Monitor and everywhere else for finding what these thugs are up to on the Peoples money!!!
