1. could you see all the males in this country if it came down to...
2 women running for president of the United States? While I would like to see how they would handle it and the pressure of both running for the office and once they are elected, I am skeptical if it will happen at all.

2. The republicans will have to nominate Rice (a black woman) first,
before I get all riled up about that.

6. It's late, and they're dreaming! This will NEVER happen!!!
I doubt Hillery will be able to win a primary, and I'm positive Rice can't.

This country isn't close to accepting a woman as a leader.

7. Dick Morris has a fascinating track record of never being right
"Might I add that Dick Morris is wrong about 99% of the time"

You're being generous-- he's been wrong about everything since he decided that being a loudmouthed, overrated talking head would be a good career choice. Morris symbolizes exactly what's wrong with the punditocracy these days-- he's all full of superficial hoopla and hot air, and is utterly incapable of critical thinking and analysis. The Repugs would never nominate Condi mainly b/c she's pro-choice and a supporter of affirmative action (she wouldn't get 10 votes in many very red Red State districts for that) with no electoral track record. Plus she's very closely tied to Iraq, and if that place truly does flame out by 2008, they'll want someone less closely associated with it. (Many recent polls have already shown that 60% of Americans think the Iraq war was a mistake.)

For obvious reasons we've discussed Hillary is losing most of the core support that she'd need to carry the '08 nomination. I wouldn't say that Americans in general aren't ready for a woman nominee, b/c e.g. Boxer or Blanche Lincoln might work just fine. (It's always bad to be a frontrunner this early on-- such frontrunners have never received the nomination.) But on the GOP side, I'd venture that Frist will be the nominee. He's not well-known but he'd be pretty scary. He was a transplant surgeon before hitting the hustings and he's apparently preternaturally canny, with strong support amid the Republican base. I'm always careful about predictions (including my own), but he's one to watch warily and be prepared for.
