The Nation: The Bizarre Gannon Affair
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 12:21 AM by Catchawave
<snip>
After all, this whole to-do started when Gannon/Guckert at a January 26 press conference aked Bush a softball question in which he characterized Senate Democratic leaders as "people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality."

But let me raise a cautionary note or two. The blogosphere in recent months has become the piling-on-osphere. When there is blood in the water--or on the keyboard--bloggers rush in for the kill. (Gannon resigned from Talon News a few days ago.)

Mary Mapes is DEFINITELY behind the story, this is who I told Sean Hannity got the documents. She also obtained the Abu Ghraib photos.

The truth will set you free! I point you to the WashPo story from Dec 26, 2003 that says the CIA is upset with me for talking about a document they say is a forgery (when they are not denying that it exists) that details EXACTLY what the Senate Intel Committee says.

Plame got him the job and the White House didn't know they were sending him - otherwise they would have nixed it knowing that Wilson was anti-war.

The sweet taste of vindication.

7. Yeah, I know - can't stop w/the gutter shots since I saw the jim/jeff ...
pix. But, he DOES reference Hannity alot in Al-CIAda's freeper post above - makes me wonder @ all those hand-offs he was passing him. I know - bad choice of words. I just don't think he was working alone, I think he was working in tandem w/other repub 'reporters' to push the spin. (see, all words are interesting choices when it comes to this guy - hard to avoid it!)

Gannon is "innocuous" and the White House is "sloppy". Whew! I feel so much better now.
