154 programs targeted in Bush budget

154 programs targeted in Bush budget
The Associated Press

The 154 programs that Presi­
dent Bush wants to eliminate or
cut in his 2006 budget proposal.
Bush would terminate 99 pro­
grams and make major spend­
ing reductions in 55. Separately,
the administration listed eight
major reforms Bush proposed
that also would produce spend­
ing cuts.
Of the terminations, Bush
has recommended 59 of them
before. Twenty-seven of the 55
programs targeted for spending
reductions have been previ­
ously submitted to Congress.

SICK! How did this happen... how did our country go from records economic highs, to extreme all new lows. It's a disgrace, everyone I know is highly disgusted, and can't bare to even look at his face in the papers, much less on TV.

5. He can propose whatever he wants
it doesn't mean it will get approved. Something like only 5 of the 95 cuts he recommended in his first term passed.
