Freepers blame DU for Gannon controversy
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 12:38 PM by Moochy
Freepers dont see nothing wrong with a lil rightiy in tighty whities... lobbing softballs at the president.. hmm, step away from the metaphor.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1340582/posts

Here are few choice freeper quotes:

"He asked a question that should have been asked by the MSM, but never would have been."

The best is this guy areafiftyone who just keeps posting and kicking his one reply..
Maybe he gets paid per posting?

"Not to sound stupid, but, what channel does Wolf Blitzer report on? I rarely watch tv, and then only Fox news."

Then you get the really charming folks posting pictures of cadavers, claiming that Frank Lautenberg is dead. Nothing like corpse art to brighten up a thread!

"It wasn't so much the question, it was inflitrating the "Elite Bush Bashing White House Press Corps". They are livid. We need more bloggers in that group. Can FR get a press pass? Now that would be sweet!"

Um short answer, No.

(on edit must take shower!! unclean now!! )

1. They're right... REAL reporters aren't supposed to ask
Hard questions. (sarcasm off)

I think DU should take credit!

10. Didn't You Know That "Taking Personal Responsibility" Was Only For US????
Didn't you know that only WE are supposed to take personal responsibility...never THEM??

Didn't you KNOW there were two sets of rules?

Welcome to 1984.

Goodbye, America. I loved you!

9. Go Grasswire !
Having not followed this too closely at the start, that's awesome, and its cool that DU and other blogs can keep the MSM focused on this.

It's interesting that they think that the manipulation of media by "bloggers" on the right is fine, but when the any source reports anything bad, they cry foul ! Left-wing Media conspiracy.

I also agree that the gay angle on this only serves to highlight the hypocracy of the RW. This somehow reminds me of Matt Drudge and even David Brock, other log-cabin types who work(ed) for the right.

Sort of a "Don't ask dont' tell policy within the power elite of the right" Al Pacino's depiction of Roy Cohen in Angels in America also comes to mind.

6. Nothing wrong
with lying and perpetuating lies? Nothing wrong with a preznit that can't handle the truth??! Those folks are true sheeple and I'm happy that so many of us are willing to drag the truth out and rub their little piggy noses in it! Why the hell did they drag President Clinton
through the mud over a lie about consensual sex????????

Don't they see how this makes their hero, W look?! What FOOLS! LOLOL!!
I wish the rest of the journalistic world would get righteously upset with this Gannuck or whatever the hell his real name is posing as one of them! They too are sheeple, apparently.

8. And what would a freeper do with a white house press pass?
Display their journalistic integrity? Ask legitimate questions about the actions of this most pathetic administration more concerned with politics than policy? Use questions to probe into why Dr Rice lied to the 9/11 commission about receiving warnings from Richard Clark nine months prior to September 11th? And why pertinent data from that commission was not released by bush until after the election? Seek answers on why bush's budget is so much different than his campaign rhetoric? I think a freeper would be confused and discombulated. They are having their votes shoved up their asses and all they can do is to continue to support. To admit the truth would be too belittling.

I'm all for giving them a press pass with a front row seat and a big freeper nametag around their neck.
