THAT'S the one that will be on TV tonight. I still won't be watching. I have a terrible reaction to sycophants and liars, it makes me want to hurl and curse at the same time. Last year's was SO bad: it was idiotic and chickenshit (didn't even mention Mars) with feeble attempts to grandstand about things of great import like sports doping. The one before had the ring of history to it, knowing as I did when watching that he was lying with every clunky intonation.

He's got absolutely no poetry in his soul, and his rhetorical skills rival those of Sy Sperling (he's the guy...from the...hair club...for men) with an inability to capture the spirit of a phrase or say more than six syllables without a falling inflection. He then takes a small pause and limps on with another fragment, and so on.

Tonight he'll be in fine form: beaming and smirking as he basks in the endless applause of the accolytes.

Eat afterwards, if you can; it's too risky to do it before...
