Bush joked that he had something in common with the Pistons, who defeated the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers 4-1 in June's NBA Finals.

"Nobody expected you to win," Bush said. "I know how you feel."

Cheating isn't winning. EOM.

4. No, no, I wasn't commenting on that

I know the Pistons didn't cheat. In fact (this is true) after Game 2, I wrote a letter to the NBA officiating office outlining exactly how Los Angeles wasn't getting called for fouls. Imagine my surprise when they apparently paid attention to it. We didn't have any problems with the referees after that. Perhaps I should have written Ohio electoral boards (my other "success" was when I wrote the DNC and suggested they replace Gephardt. Within days, they did.)

Edited because I can't spell!

6. But EVERYONE expected Bush to win until exit polls started
showing Kerry ahead. Either Bush has an inferiority complex.
