There is talk that Dick Cheney will resign due to 'health concerns' so that Bush can hand-pick the 2008 nominee and name him/her VP.

If so, when? Who might fill his spot?

The next Vice President will have a big bunker to fill.

Cheney will very probably resign and very soon. They need to make way for the young healthy blood. Cheney's has now become "the past!"
