Hasn't it seemed as if this "cabal" (dubya & friends) has been around for a LOT longer than 4 years!?!?

to the "regulatory" changes to environmental policies
to the low approval ratings before 9/11/2001
to the "trifecta"
to the lies pass the Patriot Act
to the duct tape and plastic
to the lies to go to war
to the tax cuts for the rich
to the no-bid contracts to Halliburton and friends
to the rigged 2002 elections
to the increased deficit
to the "Mission Accomplished" sign and dress up day
to the "quaint" Geneva convention laws
to the torture of prisoners
to the stupid remark to Brazilian President, "you have blacks here?"
to the stupid remark about OB/GYN practicin' love on the women
to the stupid remark of 'won't be fooled again'
to the stupid remarks about terror here in US, to be afraid, but go spend your money
to the stupid remark of "our children is learning good"
to the No Child Left Behind lies and payola
to the "I protect the environment" lies
to running the government as if it were one big Corporation and dubya is the CEO

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH! All the deception, divergence of the truth, the scamming, the casuistry (I loved this word when I first saw it used and looked up the definition) and the stupid, horrific, selfish, thoughtless policies has felt like forever! When will it stop!?

I am sure that each and every one out on DU could add line after line of what they have had enough of from this WH!

I told a democratic judge last night that I have something in common with Ronald Reagan. I share, in some degree, his optimism about the common sense of the American people eventually reasserting itself.

I still am optimistic. Hell, if you've read my posts you know I should probably join a 'democratic optimist' society. Will the lies and perfidy (a word I like) of government ever cease? Well...no.

Will the American People, people like us on DU, wake up and smell the coffee and realize that the MIC/GOP/GWB/FAUX regime has been a disaster?

Yes. Eventually. We must weather the storm until then.
