when we tried to point out well-known biographical facts about Kerry and he just laughed and said, "Tell me another one."

Some would rather hold on to their misconceptions. Why trash a perfectly good model of reality with actual facts. Then you'd have to remake your model of reality, and nobody likes to do that.

2. I just received a message from someone who works in Illinois

Progressive Democrats and she gave a run-down on going through the halls of the Senate on Jan. 6th when the Ohio objection was being planned...She and her group - along with other state chapters, perhaps - were visiting the offices of the senators to encourage them to stand with Boxer...She characterized Kerry's office as being "nauseatingly dismissive" even though a number of others came out, at least eventually, to talk.
