1. If our gov. recognized torture as reprehensible it would be a wonderful

thing -- and we would be setting an example for others to follow. But on another more practical level -- this approval of Gonzalez amounts to an endorsement of torture and it potentially increases the dangers posed to any captured U.S. soldiers. Failure to recognize this demonstrates the stupidity or callousness of the Bush Administration. Take your pick.
