This was a good day for Democracy in a very bad year for Democracy

We lost another mile this year but won back a hundred yards today. I am pleased with today. It was not a victory but it may be a turning point. After November 2nd I expected much more from our Party than this. After November 3rd I expected far less. We had to start somewhere and after backpedaling for four years today was movement in a positive direction. It literally was NOT business as usual. Fraud was not overturned but on November third most leaders in our Party did not even consider fair elections an issue worth discussing. Today it was an issue most were forced to address, to one degree or another.

If this is all there is, it comes to nothing. If the fight is picked up and carried from here for free and fair elections until free and fair elections are fully secured, we will be able to look back in pride at this moment that so many of us here helped bring about.

Today I will not be critical of most in my Party. Today I breath a small sigh of relief that this election did not slip silently into the history books. My eyes are on tomorrow. There is a big fight in front of us and I want to know who will really be with us through it.
