9. I think the following circumstance is tying his hands here
OK, a chance crossreference on another list tipped me off as to why Dennis hasn't been speaking up, so we can all quit being armchair psychologists.

http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/111904Y.shtml

Don McTigue, a Columbus lawyer who filed the lawsuit for the Ohio Democratic Party, said the Democrats have concerns that different standards are being applied from county to county.

Don McTigue was also the Kucinich campaign treasurer, so there are issues of real or perceived conflicts of interest to consider here. I don't think that the FEC is quite finished with Dennis yet.

18. He says this--
http://rawstory.rawprint.com/105/final_plea_105.php

Twenty-four members from the House signed a letter issued to the full House and Senate this afternoon in a last-minute bid to encourage the Senate to open discussion on the electoral vote tally Thursday, RAW STORY has learned.

The members signing were: John Conyers, Jr, Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Jim McDermott, Maxine Waters, Lynn Woolsey, Bernard Sanders, Eleanor H. Norton, Sam Farr, Chaka Fattah, Donald Payne, Anthony Weiner, Diane Watson, Barbara Lee, Elijah Cummings, Robert Wexler, Juanita Millender-McDonald, José E. Serrano, Major Owens, Danny K. Davis, Dennis J. Kucinich, Sheila Jackson Lee, William Clay, Jr. and Barney Frank.

Rep. Frank's signature was not included in this release because he signed it after it had been scanned.

2. He wants the 'world community" to come in-and transition the US OUT!
naturally Fox is saying we do not respect the troops with this position.
Fox says we are pulling money FROM the troops with our current position!

27. It's a hornets nest in large part due to bush*s OCCUPATION of the
country, although the World community will have to wait for the impending civil war that bush*s ill-formed "plan" will cause to finish, but they will be more welcome than the "liberators" once that's over.

5. And did Faux explain how
keeping our troops conscripted in Iraq, against the desire of the majority of Iraqis, for an illegal invasion that bush LIED our troops into without even ensuring they had enough rifles, ammo, body armor, up-armored vehicles, etc, is RESPECTING the troops???

Didn't think so.

3. Hasn't he...
Been saying that for a while, now? I thought his election platform was based on pulling the troops out of Iraq?

That's why I voted for him in the primary...

25. He's been against the war and speaking out against it since day one,
despite the flack he took for it, even from within his own party. You remember what the criticism was for anyone who didn't support the war - they were being "unpatriotic." :grr: They went after Daschle for the same thing and look where he is.:-(

Every one of the other Democratic candidates voted for the war, except for Howard Dean, who said he was against it, but he wasn't in a position to vote for anything. But the press labeled Dean as the anti-war candidate and totally overlooked Dennis.

But, yes, this is what he has been saying right along, that we have to bring the troops home. And he was my candidate, too.:-)

6. If Congress suts off the funding, I hope
they'll at least let us take out the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who've worked with us before we bg out.

It was discracefull the way we left the Cambodians and Vietnamese and the Hmong behind when we bugged out.

I don't want to see another killing fields as hundreds of thousands of people get their heads sawed off for collaborating with the Americans.

We need to at least get those people out before we leave.

...in Europe during WWII (or did you-- I don't know your age)? How is that different from Iraqis who collaborated with Americans?

anymore. The insurgency consists mainly of Sunni's, former Baathist's and foreign fighters. You know, like a smal minority. Not supported by the Shi'a in the south (who are the majority) or the Kurds in the north.
Iraqi's that help the US = Nazi collaborators... o-m-g

14. Somebody has to say it first
The loonier Republican scams start with some idiot yammering from the back benches and getting a microphone shoved in front of his drooling face. Now look where we are: Debating whether to continue Social Security, the most successful governmental program ever, which benefits millions of citizens and keeps them from dying, starving and naked, in the streets.

I'm glad Kucinich is saying this, and I join his call: Not one more dime for this imperialistic war.

10. I have to agree. It's time to bring them home.
When the "insurgents" i.e. Iraqi CITIZENS outnumber our troops, there's just no winning this messopotamia.

No more money. Not one dime, except transportation costs to bring the troops home before we lose anymore in a senseless war that has nothing to do with terrorism.

19. There is no 'way' to win in Iraq
The whole concept of why we went there was flawed, based on lies.

We can either leave now or later. But we will leave without accomplishing anything. When it finally sinks-up to JQ Public that those 'terrorists and insurgents' fighting us in Iraq are just the Iraq people trying to eject invaders in their own land and WE are the invaders. Then we will know, we should have never done this to begin with, and Bu*h lied.

It's Vietnam all over again, but this time, 9-11, was the trigger. Thats the key, why haven't we gotten the whole truth on that? I think if the whole truth came out on that, those in the PNAC would be lined-up and shot.

We might as well leave sooner, to save lives.
