The DNC Email I just got irks me
It says that they are stronger than ever before because of Terrys leadership, then lists the reasons why, and they all have to do with how much money they made!

Its like they're bragging about taking all our money and losing seats in the House and Senate and the Presidency.

I think they're a bit out of touch with what really matters here.

Just me venting.

2. taking credit for progressive pissed off citizens
who gave more money than we could afford
worked our butts off
did the media's work

I got the email, too.

My thought is they're going to have to get on board with us since they aren't driving the train anymore.

7. I replied. I always reply to those idiotic credit taking letters...
"I didn't do it for you, I did it for my kids. We owe nothing to the DINO's like Terry and everything to Dr. Dean. :hi:

10. Just keep mumbling the mantra of Moveon ...
Regarding the Democratic Party, we bought it, we paid for it, and we're taking it back.

Can't we all just get along?

11. Make heavy use of their feedback form--
This is what I sent them.

From your latest email--

"In the past four years, the DNC expanded its small donor base seven fold, from 400,000 in 2000 to 2.7 million in 2004.
<snip>
We also mobilized 233,000 volunteers, knocking on 11 million doors, and making 38 million volunteer phone calls. "

I'd like to point out that these things were largely the result of self organized volunteers, mostly from the primary campaigns of Dean, Kucinich and Clark, whose supporters then transferred their efforts to the national campaign.

If you expect this level of interest to be maintained, you will have to pay attention to this base. If you don't choose Dean (or someone else with that same agressive attitude toward grassroots growth), I see no reason to contribute further to the national party. My time and money in that case will be going only to my LD and county Democratic organizations, the Progressive Democrats of America, and Democracy for America, and individual candidates who share my views.
