Canada speaks: "We're totally against Bush. He's arrogant and ignorant."

Demonstrators protest President Bush's trip to Canada on Tuesday in Ottawa.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/11/30/bush.protests.ap/index.html

OTTAWA, Canada (AP) -- Holding up signs calling U.S. President George W. Bush a "war criminal" and "liar," a few thousand demonstrators rallied in the Canadian capital Tuesday to protest his visit, the U.S.-led war in Iraq and a host of other issues.

Organizers said about 5,000 people, many of whom rode buses overnight from across Ontario and Quebec, held a rally at Ottawa's City Hall before a planned march on Canada's Parliament buildings. Police put the figure at between 2,500 to 3,000.

"Canada is not against America. We're totally against Bush," explained Fredric White, a 40-year-old who works for an entertainment company, who stood by the Parliament building as the president's motorcade arrived.

"He's arrogant and ignorant. We totally disdain his policies on the war and his treatment of the U.N.," White said. "The administration has an imperialist attitude where he thinks he can take over countries by bombing them."

1. Thank God for Canadians' mercy
and understanding that WE ARE NOT OUR IGNORANT LEADER. People in this country are not so discriminating.

11. Yes!
Ever notice, Bush doesn't appear much in public in this country unless he's in Texas?

"Canada is not against America. We're totally against Bush,"

I would like to think that the rest of the world thinks the same way, but after this last election I doubt it.

7. I just finished watching CBC coverage
The crowd was in the thousands at the bottom of Parliment hill and in front of the Chateau Laurier Hotel(they thought perhaps that Bush or his people are staying there). The protest was peaceful at first and then all of a sudden a group of protestors in masks and handerchiefs got aggressive. Then many riot police showed attempting to block the surge toward the hotel. In doing so 2 police were dragged away injured and several rioters were arrested.police put on there gas masks and were about to use tear gas when the crowd started to disperse. They said that these groups woulod be moving on to different sites to protest throughout the day.

It was so good to see people disgusted by the Bush regime making their views heard. They could be a little less passsive aggresive though. Canadien's are generally too polite to riot big time. This shows how disgusted they are. Signs say "Get Out" and "Bush S****">

The True North Strong and FREE!!!

8. Canada! Thank you for extreme patience! "American Woman"...
By the "Guess Who"

"American woman, stay away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Don't come here hanging around my door
I don't want to see your face no more
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time growin' old with you
Now woman, I said stay away
American woman, listen what I say

American woman, get away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Don't come here knocking around my door
Don't want to see your shadow no more
Colored lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
Now woman, I said get away
American woman, listen what I say

American woman, I said get way
American woman, listen what I say
Don't come here hanging around my door
Don't want to see your face no more
I don't need your war machines
I don't need your ghetto scenes
Colored lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
Now woman, get away from me
American woman, mama let me be

Go, gotta get away, gotta get away, now go go go
I'm gonna leave you, woman
Gotta leave you, woman
Bye bye, bye bye
Bye bye, bye bye
You're no good for me
I'm no good for you
Gonna look at you right in the eye
Tell you what I'm gonna do
You know I'm gonna leave
You know I'm gonna go
You know I'm gonna leave
You know I'm gonna go, woman
I'm gonna leave you, woman
Goodbye, American woman"
