4. not that long

especially as the people he pissed off were long retired...

besides, his wife never doubted that he had a heart attack and drowned.

besides, you're forgetting Adm. Turner, Schlesinger, and others far, far less popular with the CIA than Colby. Not to mention Casey, Woolsey and others who purged people. If they had a death list of former DCIs., Colby would have been wayyy down the list.

5. Yeah
I expected them to do something, leak some info, reveal some incontrovertible evidence of crime, something to stop this. They still could, I guess, but it's a little late now.

6. They will act
If there is one thing I still have faith in that is the spooks and their wiley ways. I suspect they will act and it won't be pretty.

Julie--ever hopeful

8. The CIA is a tool of the oligarchy

don't expect them to do something for the good of the country.

7. Barry Seale
used to see him at the Salvation Army when we'd go junking.

Assigned to the used shoe department and creeping around aisles watching everyone.

We thought he was a weirdo and almost maced him for following us until my friend pointed out who he was.

A little over a week later he was dead in the parking lot.
