2. Absolutely.
This was a set-up from last February when the powers that be got together and sabotaged the Dean Blitzkreig in Iowa.

This country is run by a small, closed group of power elite who
have - for generations - worked together to maintain solid corporate and hegemonic control over the working drones, despite their supposed
'differences'.

Maybe Nader wasn't so wrong in 2000 about the parties being essentially the same, after all ?

5. Iowa Is A Freaking Caucus. And His Beyond-The-Pale Speech
even WITHOUT the "scream" insured he'd never make it.

14. Thanks for repeating the meme
Edited on Sun Nov-07-04 01:04 PM by Capn Sunshine
In context, a rousing "Thank you " to the volunteers who came from all the states he named, in a room full of over 3,000 screaming fans, was hardly "over the top".

What was over the top was the IOwa organizations fundamental lack of understanding of the IOwa process and how Kerry-sympathetic insiders had a lock on the thing.

15. Meme? HELLO, After Elections The Candidate Addresses THE NATION
No candidate EVER has given a speech REMOTELY approaching what Dean did. EVER.

The American people expect a certain amount of decorum.

Dean's behavior was totally INAPPROPRIATE for someone seeking a NATIONAL OFFICE.

Dean was NOT just speaking to the fucking crowd in front of him.
He was on TV.

Dean was NOT just running to win the Iowa Caucus. He was running in all 50 states.

Are you saying Dean was too stupid to realise he was being televised?

Or that there are set norms of behavior for Concession Speeches?

Did Dean decide to go a Concession Speech that deviated totally from the norm because he thought it was SMART?

6. No.
If for the simple reason that they have nothing to gain by a deal.
Why would they need a deal? They are in control.

12. Oh, for the love of.... NO! No sellout.
:eyes: No deal. No Skull 'n' Bones conspiracy. Sheesh.

It's been all of five days since the election. Can we have just a little patience, please? I agree the overwhelming silence from all of the leading Democrats is odd and even a bit unsettling, but we cannot give up, yet. The investigations of inadvertent 'miscounts' and/or deliberate fraud are proceeding. 'Miscounts' discovered before the EC meets on 12/12 will overturn the results. Fraud, though, causes the result to be overturned even after 12/12.

Patience. Please.

16. YES, I have thought about this for a while, blame 9/11
My conspiracy theory is that post 9/11, the powers that be thought it would send the wrong message to change leaders after 9/11. Probably a highly classified office made this decision a long time ago. It is even much easier to fool the masses with electronic voting.

The fact that they took so long to challenge Bush on the war, Dean and Gore were the first ones to voice any opposition, all other Democrats acted like whimps.

I believe there is a real possibility we were taken for a ride. The fact that Democrats are not making more noise over exit polls clashing with the actual vote and even being more vocal about the Diebold machine "glitches" in Florida and Ohio and also Kerry's early conceeding.

19. Proof of sellout - concession before a full count
When Edwards came out and told us every vote would be counted, it was like I could hear the gears of the machine cracking and falling apart. He was lying and he knew it. The whole thing was a sham...
