Well, whatever's happened, it's clear; the Republican machine has stolen votes from Democrats (again). Hell, it was apparent two years ago that this was going to occur when two salient facts came to the fore- one, Diebold and other EVSs have enough of a presence in electoral politics to control 37% of the vote, and two, the then-current CEO of Diebold made the public proclamation that he was going to deliver Ohio's votes to Bush in the '04 election.

2. And to think that earlier on the DNC never took seriously all the

dire warnings that came from groups like MoveOn, DU, etc about looking into the intentions of these companies and their controllers. Well, here we are again - probably robbed again!

The trend in the popular vote and congressional elections seem to broadly confirm that -- somehow -- this country is receptive to Bush.
