CNN just changed their Ohio exit poll page
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 01:54 AM by EarlG
It's been showing the following all night:

Kerry up 2 among men, up 6 among women.

At 1:41am they changed the results to favor Bush:

Now Kerry is suddenly down 5 among men, tied among women,

The media is trying to steal this for Bush.

9. MSNBC's also changed...
Earlier, when the crap started getting funny, I made sure I had that window open, then saved it to my hd. I also bookmarked the page.

When I went back to the page just now, the numbers had changed.

I just don't know how to insert graphics on DU.

15. CNN changing Ohio exit polls
It's true. CNN is scum. But, haven't we known that? There is one good thing about CNN and that is Aaron Brown...everything else and everyone else makes me want to tear my hair. CNN has some mystique, some cachet, some indefinable something that makes people think they are above the craven networks. But CNN is just as corrupt as the networks if not more so...I mean, they've got Bob Novak...doesn't that say something is really rotten? And by the way, when is that SlimeMeister going to jail?

21. The updated numbers aren't even mathematically possible.
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:56 AM by MacGregor
Unless the original figures were in error. But even if they uncovered an additional 57 respondents, the math doesn't work. (And why, then all of a sudden now are the original figures in error? Does someone need a legitimacy booster shot now? Shit, don't answer that...)

I think my math is right, here, but try to follow:

With 1,963 respondents, a 47% men respondents figure is 923. A 49%/51% B/K split is 452/471. With 2,020 respondents, a 47% figure is 950 men, an addition of 27 men respondents. A 52%/47% B/K split is 494/456. Except even if all 27 new responses were solely for *, it could be no more than 479/471 (50.4%/49.6% B/K ).

With 1,963 respondents, a 53% women respondents figure is 1040. A 47%/53% B/K split is 489/551. With 2,020 respondents, a 53% figure is 1070 women, an addition of 30 women respondents. A 50/50 B/K split is 535/535. Except even if all 30 new responses were solely for *, it could be no more than 519/551 (48.5%/51.5% B/K).

Jesus, we been so completely jobbed by the pollsters and media. Fuck, these assholes learned nothing from 2000, did they? Not that they give a round little damn, of course.

Just like the reports of Dick Cheney's motorcade leaving the Naval Observatory. It's all being set up to make a shrubco "victory" feel "natural."

But it won't pass. No concession from Kerry = no victory for bush.

Send it to all the rival networks along with my statistical analysis of the unexplainable 5% edge Bush pulled off in EVoting states with no audit trails.

51. I've just emailed CNN
And am going to send emails about this to everyone I can think of . How can Kerry be ahead in the swing states in the early voting , ahead in yesterday's exit polls and still have less votes than * . It just doesn't make sense .

As soon as I saw * smug face early on , I knew he knew the fix was in . Diebold and other Republican voting machine manufacturers have served this election to their satanic master , as promised , and the right-wing media is complicit in this fraud . Their bias and distortions of the truth , will only get worse , and The * White House will only get more secretive .

This is grand larceny , on the grandest scale , and as long as these machines are used , the Democrats will never be elected again .

30. I did the math, it's NOT POSSIBLE - clear fraud
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:52 AM by SoCalDemocrat
Please help me compile more information on this problem. I've been tracking it for several hours now and have observed a discrepancy in every state with EVoting that doesn't have audit trails. I've been reporting it here at DU. In the past hour CNN has apparently begun altering their exit polling data to cover up the problem.

We need to start a national media alert campaign to get this information into the press. Every state I analyzed that used EVoting and no audits showed a 5% edge for Bush. Every other state with EVoting and audits or no EVoting the exit polls matched the actual voting results.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1290765&mesg_id=1290765

I ran CNN's numbers above, and it's clearly impossible for their results to have changed that much. What they're doing is fraudulent and a blatant attempt to cover up this emerging EVoting scandal.

Between those two screen shots, exactly 57 more persons were polled. If every single one of them were female, and every single one of them voted for Bush, that would account for a 2.3% increase in the exit polling results for female voters. They show a 6% increase for Female voters supporting Bush.

Why am I thinking CNN has been reading my thread on DU that shows the EVoting is inexplicably skewed to favor Bush?

Also try to get us screen shots of the percent of precincts reporting against those numbers. Their other page shows it.

I've been tracking this all night. Every exit poll vs. actual results was skewed about 5% in favor of Bush in states with no audit trails on EVoting. Those with audit trails matched up.

I resampled Florida and Ohio twice, and got the same results. This was with 90% or more precincts reported.

To prove it, we need screen captures of their pages with the 89% precincts reporting and their exit poll data up.

32. Chuck Todd on C-SPAN
is reporting that they re-weighted the exit polls because, based on actual voter tallies, it became clear that the exit polls had oversampled black voters.

That's what Chuck Todd said.... I don't know why they would go back to change exit polling, but.....

33. Someone please do the math. Is that swing even possible?
At the 12:21 am update with 1963 respondents they showed men for Kerry over Bush by 51-49% and women for Kerry by 53% to 47%. The 1:41 am update shows a complete swing including a full 6% among female voters with a total of 2020 respondents. 2020 minus 1963 = 57. Can a mere 57 respondents account for this swing? If so, wouldn't basically each and every one of the *new respondents* have had to been for Bush? What are the odds?

46. Math clearly shows updated results are RIGGED...
... to reflect the vote counts that were reported.

First CNN exit poll:

1963 respondents: 47% Male (923), 53% Female (1040)

Males for Bush: 49% of Males = 452 voters
Females for Bush: 47% of Females = 489 voters

Males for Kerry: 51% of Males = 471
Females for Kerry: 53% of Females = 551

Second CNN exit poll:

2020 respondents (57 more than the first report): 47% Male (949), 53% Female (1071)

Males for Bush: 52% of Males = 493 voters.
Females for Bush: 50% of Females = 535 (and a half, I don't know how they rounded)

Males for Kerry: 47% of Males = 456
Females for Kerry: 50% of Females = 535 (and a half)

Hello? Apparently not only did they find an extra 57 voters HOURS after the polls closed to add to their **exit polling** results, but they LOST 21 Men and 16 Women who had voted for Kerry in order to make the exit polls match the vote count. Maybe they just decided after the fact that those people had actually said they voted for Bush and they misheard them... because Bush's totals went up by well MORE than 57 votes.

There can be no doubt, the update is bogus.
