Tweety's people confess they were snookered on OBL video
After Tweety left for the night and Scarborough-Reagan took over, the subject of the impact of the OBL tape came up. Several of them had to actually confess they were "taken in" and "wrong" about the impact the video would have. They had all, remember, been sure it would help Bush. It didn't. They were wrong. Again. Just as they were wrong about the debates.

I guess they don't dare admit these errors in front of Tweety.

And by the way, Tweety allowed his son to sing "America the Beautiful" to end his hour. A fresh-faced young man, just the sort of fodder the Bushes seek for their imperial adventures.

3. Absolutely no defense of Tweety
is intended but I remember him saying his son is a Dean guy, worked hard to get him nominated. This was back during the interviews he was doing doing the primaries. Can't take watching his show but maybe there is a little hope in that.

10. and when Dean dropped out
Tweety gave the most eloquent, lovely speech at the end of his broadcast.

He's still a jerk, though.

7. Ha!
Maybe the should hire some of us who actually HAVE journalism experience, haven't lived in the vaccum of the Beltway for 30 years and would not (like Helen Thomas) be intimidated by a coward like Shrub.

After this election, I'm seriously considering getting back into journalism - even if I have to move. My son's in school, now, so the demands aren't as great for child care. One small step to taking back a free press.

And BLOGS should be required reading for every reporter. Period. :)

I haven't heard aninsightful or helpful syllable form any of them except Ron Reagan for the entire campaign.

They are wrong, wrong, and wrong again.
