Could be CANADA- Election Message From A First Time Voting Friend
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 10:59 PM by bigtree
If you have read my posts you can probably tell that I'm not going to shrink from any political battle, no matter what happens in this election. I think Kerry will win overwhelmingly. I wouldn't flee and leave the country to Bush and his minions.

But my friend is pretty freaked. This is the first time he will have voted in his life. He was afraid of the IRS and other tinfoil crap so he didn't register. This time he did and is solidly behind Kerry. He was a cheerleader of the Iraq war early on and balked when he saw what a collosal screw up it was and how thoroughly Bush has screwed America.

Here's his last take on the state of the union. Good hard tack paranoia. I'll bet he's not alone in this. I'll calm him down and keep him in the fight, but I wanted to share this here for his sake. He says we're too unforgiving of opposing views here. I told him that I was one of the most intolerant here and to f**k off. (not really). Anyway, here it is fwiw:
________________________________

Another 4 years of Bush and we will have no country, no country at all. And as things stand right now we are not in Kansas anymore ToTo. Not even remotely close. Not trying to burst anyones bubble but the reality is this is not America anymore. I am embarrased and ashamed of what this country has become. I understand why the rest of the world hates America now. This used to be a great nation until Bush took office and clearly another 4 years of Bush will bring this country to its knees.

What boggles my mind is how many Bush supporters there are out there. I argued with a pro Bush supporter yesterday. He claims that the reason I have had so much painting work this year is because of Bush. And he is right but not in the way that this particular pro Bush idiot had in mind. The reason for all the work is due not entirely but in large part to Bush's failed immigration policy and that fact that he has rolled out the red carpet for immigrants to just come pouring in to this country undocumented. This has helped to fuel and create a severe housing shortage. Not to mention the many other huge problems that are created by uncontrolled mass immigration into America. This is the reason for all the painting work I have. This is the reason I have lived in a hotel for nearly 3 years.

But now the implications come to mind. I may have to leave here soon. Where the fuck am I going to live? People who are so comfortable and secure in thier homes don't even have a clue how difficult it is for an a single white American male like myself to find a place to live. Not even anything close to a clue. Do you think that George W Bush is going to give a fuck whether or not I live in my van this winter?

I could go on and on and I think I will.

1) 1.8 million technical jobs lost since 9-11
2) The largest U.S. debt on record.
3) The largest job loss since the great depression
4) 25% pay cuts for 50% of America
5) Loss of retirement benefits
6) No flu shots because of Bush's practice of outsourcing everything
7) Soldiers who have served thier time in Irag and Afghanistan cannot go home even though they were told they would be going home soon, they were lied to and they are being used.
8) Iraq had no WMD's and no link to Al- Queda and our president fails to admit this monumentally huge error. And the war that was declared over in March of 2003 rages on.
9) Out of control oil prices and soaring inflation on everything.
10) America is no where near safer today that before 9-11
11) Families with children are hurled out on the streets because of the cost of housing.
12) The elderly cannot aford thier medicine anymore and medicare benefits are being cut left and right
13) The Patriot act and Constitutional bashing. Taking away our rights. Our rights that declare us free. That is what America used to be, a free nation. Not anymore those days are long since past.
14) Cheating on election votes. We have seen it before and believe me we will see it again in a couple of days.

And that is just off the top of my head.

This is not America. We can not free anymore. Bush took that away.

I pray Kerry wins. It is our only hope.

Otherwise see ya later AYE!

Pierre (not my real name)
