1. True...but the real trump card is the youth vote.
Olbermann just reported a new Zogby poll saying Kerry wins 55% to 40% among voters under 30.

I'm 23, and let me tell you, from my personal experience, this is being GENEROUS to the republicans. We'll be voting, and we'll be voting for Kerry.

THAT is the trump card.

5. Exactly! That is what all these
polls have been missing all this time! The majority of younger voters use cell phones, which aren't being called in polls, and an entire demographic has been ignored by the pollsters. That's a major reason why I think the repukes are gonna be in for a nasty little surprise come Wednesday morning (ain't it grand?!)

9. "nasty little surprise"
Is EXACTLY what its going to be. I forsee Bush losing handily, and the republican party declaring war on our generation. Who knows where it will end, but it will be the beginning of the end for them, of that I am sure.

7. I was in Urbana-Champaign this weekend,
at the football game and walking around campus. The repub students were sporting stick-on "Illini for Bush" buttons. I think I counted 5 among all the thousands of students I saw.

11. There you go, you have become smart
You are voting for your future with a vote for Kerry. Glad that you are listening, and thinking and voting. Three cheers for all of you young voters and first time voters. You are always going to remember this vote. :toast: :toast: :toast:

16. Alot of us have been smart for quite a long time...
We just never realized the stakes of choosing a president.

Seriously, I believe that most people who grew up in the 80s and 90s just never really understood what a fundamentally crucial thing it is to take a long hard look at your candidates. Alot of people really did believe that there was no difference between Dems and Reps.

If you can credit Bush for one thing, its that he's shown my generation exactly what happens if you let the wrong person into the White House.

We won't forget.

2. Did they receive their ballots? Do the
individual states mail ballots to civilians abroad?

3. Yes, ain't it sweet?
And watch the repukes try to discredit those votes as hard as they fought to keep them in 2000!

4. There are 600,000 expats in Canada alone...
In our small area, 200 US citizens casts votes and most went to Kerry according to the news. I think Americans living outside the US are able to listen to uncensored and, for the most part, actual reporting and not infotainment and are going to vote overwhelmingly for Kerry.

14. I live in Detroit
and have long relied on the CBC (it's channel 9 here) for objective and uncensored news. I love the Fifth Estate I wish to god that the U.S. still had genuine televised investigative journalism like that.

8. true...if their votes get counted....
I have heard some bad stories about people not receiving their ballots. I hope it is the exception and NOT the rule!

12. I've heard there are 7 million ex pats and they are voting
there was even a link here earlier today that some of them are taking leave of absence an vacation to return to the US to work to defeat Bush. Yowza.

My friend in Paris is married to a republican who organized the draft Clark movement there. I'm sure they both voted Kerry.

13. OMG, so true! And we know they were not polled. Of course the military
votes are coming in too, so things may balance out there.
