Switch for Salazar

Once made, we have seldom changed endorsements, but for the first time in decades, we make an exception.

After reviewing information about their positions regarding water, The Mail endorses Attorney General Ken Salazar for U.S. Senate.

Two years ago, Pete Coors supported Referendum A, a measure which Mr. Salazar strongly opposed. The measure would have authorized the state to borrow up to $2 billion for water projects. Unfortunately, there were no safeguards for rural Colorado and drainages like the Arkansas, Colorado or South Platte river basins built into the question.

In a close race, between two otherwise qualified candidates, candidates’ positions about water make a big difference.
The Mail endorses Ken Salazar for U.S. Senate.

2. Coors is qualified?
Good to see they're endorsing Salazar of course. But I did't know owning a beer company qualified you for U.S. senate.
