"Protect your right to vote"

That is the subj line of an email I received tonight from the DNC. What a sad commentary on the republican party of the 21st century. The DNC is not urging me to vote; they are urging me to protect my right to vote. As the email so succinctly and correctly puts it:

"AMERICA IS COMING OUT IN RECORD NUMBERS FOR JOHN KERRY AND THAT HAS THE REPUBLICANS SCARED. THEY HAVE NO PLAN, NO HOPE, NO WAY TO WIN THIS ELECTION EXCEPT TO STOP PEOPLE FROM VOTING."

Should we hope that the sane amongst them retake the party after the election or do we just watch the gop drifts off into the ash heap of American Political History? I sincerely believe that is the only two options left for them.
