No Flames. Final Weekend October Surprise: Dump Cheney?
Know this:

Giuliani is shilling for Bush. He can taste it.

The FBI is going to investigate Halliburton.

Cheney is going to Hawaii?

Rove is desperate.

Don't Plame me
For wondering what he'll do
I know its a leap
But I really feel it
So don't Plame me

1. Who would be his replacement?
No Plames or flames. :) Rudy shot himself in the foot big time. Do you think John McCain would consider it? I have my doubts.

13. His TV appearance today in which he said it's not Bush's fault...
... that 350 tons of explosives disappeared in Iraq. It's the troops' fault.

Watch your back, rudy.

30. McCain
I have always thought that McCain would step in for Crashcart. The racists would overlook it. McCain appeals to the middle conservatives in a way Crashcart doesn't. McCain has an adopted daughter (the racists know that NOW), but Crashcart has a lesbian daughter! I think they would go for the adopted daughter because she was "brought to Jesus," as opposed to the "sinful" daughter. Bigots are so hard to predict though!

2. I just don't think Dick would let George dump him.
George isn't in charge, and I don't believe KKKarl is any meaner or more devious than Dick.

at least that is what I thought it was called. In fact this whole administration reminds of that movie.

3. Maybe Airforce Two won't make it all the way to Hawaii
I wouldn't put anything past Rove & Co, including offing one of their very own for the greater good. Remember, "Whatever it takes".

15. I think you may have it...
Perhaps Cheney thinks it's time to retire for good to his undisclosed location? A fake plane crash, election on hold, Cheney at the control desk of the universe deep inside some mountain as he gets set to detonate via satellite the nuke in LA that will usher in the New World Order.

4. Ballots are pinted already.
At least paper ones...the best Bush could do would be to
say that Cheney would resign and that he would appoint
Rudy, but this would simply confirm growing disarray.

They are stuck with the toad.

Thanks for the reality check. You are probably quite correct that it's too late. If Bush won it would probably lead to Edwards as VP or God knows what other constitutional confusion.

8. No ...

That would be incredibly stupid. At this point, there are no positives from such a move for Shrub. It's total desperation and would be treated as such, even by many of the MediaWhores. Some things are just too obvious.

11. I think Rudy is Toast.
I believe Rudy Guiliani screwed himself out of any chance of running for office again or atleast from running again in New York State. I can see the attack ad now. One shot shows Rudy calling a press conference to announce he's divorcing his second wife without having mentioned it to his current wife or kids yet. What a guy! The second shot shows him blaming the troops for not preventing the looting that involved all the explosive crap in Iraq. Rudy the rabid, repuke attack dog; but never a candidate for higher office.

14. there is no way....
...they would change the ticket this late in the game unless something health-related came up. even then, it just wouldn't play well at all for them.

i suppose one can always hope for cheney to exit however.

16. I don't think they can dump him now -- people have voted.
Even if he suddenly died (and I do want him to live for his many appearances in court at all of his trials!), they couldn't replace him.

20. Interesting, but Bush needs Cheney to lead him.If Bush wouldn't break the
band of thieves up over Abu Ghraib by firing Rumsfeld, he won't let Cheney go. Besides Cheney loves the power he would fight tooth and nail to stay.I doubt if anyone has the power to push Cheney out.
Wait a second,we do. Elections are a marvelous way to choose or dismiss our rulers. It has to happen.
JohnFKerry, we are so ready for you.

It would confuse the uninformed even more, and possibly make them stay home.

counting-which means its all over. Chill, sit back and enjoy. We have the wind at our backs and we're coasting into harbor. Short of a major terror attack, we're headed home.

29. Won't happen but nothing legally to keep it from happening
If Cheney left the ticket or died before voting or before EVotes cast, the RNC could designate a replacement for the ticket.

This actaully happened in 1912 to President Taft. His VP died late October. A replacement VP candidate received the 12 EV that Taft got in his landslide defeat.
