This current all around change in Iowa numbers has done a few things..
...both positive and negative for me. On the positive tip it's made me take a second look at a few of the candidates that I had counted out. I'm currently an undecided supporter of no candidate in particular despite considering each one heavily at one point. But the bottom line is...Dean, Clark, Kerry, Edwards....hell even Gephardt....we've got a lot of great guys in the race and I would be proud to cast my vote for any of them as the nominee in the General election. There's been a lot of up and down with coverage over the past few months with it being an either/or thing with regard to the limelight. But now that they are all getting a second look, I realize they are all great guys. It's even more heartening when you remember what the 2000 repub slate was and who they had to choose from. Gary Bauer? Alan Keyes? C'mon. Pretty much McCain was the only stand out in that crop.

The flip side of all this is that while taking a second look at all of these great candidates, I realize the multitude of ways in which each of them stands the chance of being smeared, and to be fair the ways in which I worry that they could screw things up in the GE. It's sad that I have to take that all into consideration but after 3 years plus of being dissapointed and beaten down by the process and the bias, it would be naive of me to not consider that and not take a serious look at each one of these guys flaws.

Just some thoughts, both positive and negative to start the day.
