I think it's a great title---and it's a fun article.

Its basic point is that once a person has enough money that they don't worry about getting tax cuts, then they say "F--- you!" to the Republicans and actually vote how they want to (in other words, for the Democrats).

I use to live there. These folks have homes with ocean views and they are against development encroaching on their views. The Dems are for keeping the coast line more natural and the repubs are for developing the coast line. The repubs are for cutting down the oaks and making more vineyards and the Dems are for keeping the hills more natural. The Dems support women's rights and a lot of the wealthy are wealthy women.

Sorry - just my take....there are those who simply cannot accept that they have been punked by Bush - and are in denial that the war was and is wrong. Doesn't mean they are too wealthy to care, or too stupid....perhaps they just have too much pride.
