Poll question: Who would be a better UN secretary general? Clinton or Bush

The job by tradition rotates around the continents. And North America has a turn coming up. When Kerry is elected, who better to suggest for UN secretary general than Clinton, who is quite popular around the world and would make a fabulous secretary general.

OTOH, nominating Bush would be richly ironic. He'd find out first-hand just what the rest of the world thought about him. Plus, if he actually got the job he'd have to learn how to work constructively with the rest of the world. He'd have to drop the swaggering cowboy BS.

Isn't it the case that none of the permanent Security Council members can serve as Secretary General?

Means it won't be anyone from the US.
