Here at the Polk Democratic Party and the Coordinated Kerry Campaign we have lots of great news!

Elizabeth Edwards, wife of Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards will be in Lakeland on Thursday along with Betty Castor, candidate for US Senate. Betty Castor will come back to Lakeland and Auburndale, Saturday, with Bob Graham and Bill Nelson on her bus tour of Florida.

Months of campaigning have brought us to this week -the most important week of the election. You have all worked so hard for our candidates and we thank you for all your help and support. Now is the time to make the final push for them. No one day could be more important; Please help us on Election Day.

CALLERS- to phone bank during the day to get out the Democratic vote

RUNNERS - to and from the polls

DRIVERS - to transport people to the polls

WALKERS - to go door to door in targeted areas to get people to the polls.

GREETERS- to stand outside the precincts with Kerry signs and pass out the Democratic sample ballot

FOOD- people to provide food for the runners and drivers to take around to the

Early voting has already started. Please vote now. Vote at the supervisor of elections office in Bartow, in Lakeland vote at 930 Parker Street, Lakeland Branch Courthhouse (old Sears building), and in Winter Haven at the Gil-Jones building (old State Farm building), 3425 Hwy 17 North. If you need a ride to polls please call the office.

1. i saw her townhall deal on C-SPAN and she was AWESOME

she answered tough questions without so much as a stutter or an 'uhm' or an 'eh' or a shrug. she has as much or more of a handle on what's going on than anyone else involved, i think. it was obvious that after about 30 minutes she had the respect of everyone in that room because she dodged nothing, absolutely nothing. it's a shame she'll be relegated to second lady status, because she is a powerful and intelligent person and i'd like to hear her ideas and give her some free rein of her own.
