Bush campaign setting the stage for Civil War with this mentality
Here's a Bush campaign letter - read it closely, it sure as hell looks like they are laying the groundwork for either Civil War or Subjugation of some of the population.

Utter BS - Marc Racicot should be arrested for causing a Public Disturbance, this seems very close to Sedition to me, not a lawyer - I'm pretty sure this election is going to be VERY UGLY, and I predict that Bush will REFUSE to leave the White House.

Check out the SHEER HYPOCRISY in it - THEY don't want HIGH POWERED LAWYERS TO CHOOSE the President?

They are going to be dangerous, I'm glad I'm not in the USA proper.

********************

Dear Mister,

Just a few short days stand between us and the election. If the activities taking place in battleground states are any indication, our opponents plan a long, bitter, and vicious fight. Let me share just a sample of what is going on across the country today, 6 days before you vote. And let me tell you what else you may expect to see.

We have already seen 35 lawsuits filed in 17 states - some before the first ballot was even cast. So far, the Democrats have failed in their attempts to win this election in the courts, rather than the ballot box.

The shadowy groups aligned against us will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to win. That is why we must prepare for every possible outcome next Tuesday. That is why we must have the resources necessary to fight any legal battle. Will you ensure we're prepared?

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Recount

Our offices have been broken into, vandalized, and robbed. Gun shots have pierced the doors and windows of several offices. Fortunately, no one was hurt in those attacks, but unfortunately, when union members stormed an office in Florida, a volunteer's arm was broken.

Our GELAC account (our legal fund, really) can be used to pay for some of the damage done to offices we occupy. More importantly, though, it allows us to pay the costs of a recount. It allows us to guard against the kind of lawsuits we have seen, and which we expect to see in the days after the election.

Those allied against us will not go quietly when the voters speak. They have already made clear they consider the election to be only the opening battle in a much larger war - a war we must also be prepared to fight. Will you make sure we're ready?

www.GeorgeWBush.com/Recount

We do not want to go through another election where the outcome is held hostage by the courts and those who were defeated at the polls try to reverse the outcome through legal wrangling and endless litigation.

We want the people's will, not the will of high-powered trial lawyers, to determine the President. To make that happen, we need you. We need you to make one last contribution to our GELAC fund and help us secure the outcome of this election against those who would use violence, theft and assault as tactics - and those who would use the courts to claim a victory they did not earn.

Please give all you can.

Sincerely,

Marc Racicot
Chairman

P.S. Those who oppose us have already used theft, vandalism and assault as weapons to win this election. Their next stop will be the courts. Will you make a contribution to our legal fund and ensure we have the resources to uphold the vote when the people speak next Tuesday? Please give all you can. www.GeorgeWBush.com/Recount

3. Unfortunately
many Americans blame Gore for the last presidential election controversies (think he was just angry) and swallow the propaganda that bush was duly elected. I know because even though I have converted a few repubs this year to vote Kerry, they still hold to that belief.

13. How can they believe that with all the facts?
Gore won the popular vote.

It was taken to the Supreme Court and they deemed Bush president.

Bush's cousin and his brother were both people in key positions in Florida.

How on earth would they believe WE were trying to steal an election or how could they deny they had all the right people in the right places regardless of the popular vote even when all the votes weren't even counted?

How can they think this way?

4. Eh. We're already in a "cold" Civil War. The stage was
set a long time ago when they politically assassinated a legally elected Democratic president and then stole the 2000 election.

Racicot is basically just a telemarketer trying to fire up the base to raise money.

5. When were their offices stormed?
Maybe it slipped by me in the media but I don't recall Democrats storming their offices and assualting and ransacking Republicans.

If anyone has a link, I'd surely like to see it.

11. It is suspected that some of the above mentioned incidents
were self inflicted. Amazing no one got hurt? That would only happen if you were staging these things.

8. They just twist and turn and twist and turn don't they?
I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime. Every pathological liar must be a member of this party. And they all believe themselves. I've met one extremely bad pathological liar up close but it seems there's a whole group of them gathered in this one party. Unbelievable. Incredible.

9. Ain't that the pot calling the kettle black
Perhaps they should ask themselves WHY people hate them so much? It ain't because of their idea of "freedom."

Desperation gets you nowhere. If I received that letter, I'd be laughing my head off. If a union stormed a Repuke meeting, as this letter claims, any normal adult will say, "Hmmmmmm. Why are they mad at you? What have you done to the working people?"

This sick plea won't bring in much $ except from the wackos IMO

10. I think...
...the Civil War will be within the Republican party with a Bush loss. They haven't been very happy with him since he is not compassionate or conservative.

All this concern over the election is reminiscent of the Y2K scare where we all thought ATMs wouldn't work, etc...then...nothing. I think it'll be a clear win...Kerry win.

and was organized by Republican officeholders. You are right -- I'm afraid they are setting the stage for wingnuts to take up arms if Kerry wins this election. This letter needs to be exposed by the press (fat chance, but we should try) as what it is -- absolutely frightening!

ON EDIT: Do you have a hard copy of the letter that could be faxed to Josh Marshall, Kos, etc., in the hope that the "mainstream media" would pick it up? Maybe a waste of time, but could also be faxed to selected "mainstream media."

It is the head of the Bush/Cheney Campaign!

This is unbelievable. What are these guys trying to start? This is extremely dangerous language, especially under the current circumstances.

I'm sure they've seen it but we need to send this to the Kerry campaign and David Bois' team. Kerry needs to stomp on this today!

18. Anybody got the inside track to the Kerry People?
I think this needs to be bashed by them in PUBLIC - it's beyond the pale as they like to say all the time..

what about Ari Fleischer, remember when he said, "YOu'd better watch what you say.." etc..

Even Jon on the Daily Show said to Madalene Albright, "What if Bush refuses to leave the White House?" then he joked as if he was Bush saying:"I don't read the papers.."

Liberals with guns? Yep. And a Veteran too.

What if Eminem turns out to be right?

20. I'm dreading
The election.I really do not look forward to civil war.Especially with all the awful crowd control weapons and the patriot act and all.I dread a police state and fundie rightwing goons getting out a lifetime of repression and hate twords anyone different than themselves at the expense of the rest of this country.
But if it happens it happens, I'll fight for my rights ,and the rights of everyone else..for human rights, for compassion, the good parts of our constitution, for our freedom.I'll fight against theocrats, tyrants, bullies ,theocracy and feudalism,to the best of my ability.
I'll fight for a sense of sane justice, fairness, integrity, liberty and happiness and equality. I'll do what I need to do to refuse, resist and rebel from these authoritarian bullies and zealots trying to take over America.. Or I'll die trying. I will not be dominated.

32. good news!
You have the US Army on your side this time. :)

There's no way these soldiers, who have been leaving their *limbs* in the sand all year, are going to support the illegal co-opting of an election by a bunch of Texas oil sheiks. They'll perp-walk * right out of the oval office.

PS, this is absolutely no reflection on the state of Texas.

17. Notice how he implies that dems sued in 2000; but wasn't it BUSH v. Gore?
This letter is disgusting and implies all kinds of evil things without being specific, but the part at the bottom where he basically says, "we can't let lawyers decide this, so please donate some money so we can hire lawyers" is laughable.

But the stuff about how violent the dems are is truly evil and disturbing. I mean, aren't the police supposed to be handling any break-ins? Why ruffle the feathers of your supporters with this stuff?

21. He's not ruffling feathers
this is pure psyops and instigation by false reference.

If you notice, much like my ex wife who likes to jail me with a friendly alabama judge, they love to "telegraph" their moves and motivations.. petty criminals do that..

if they were boxers you could beat them like a circus donkey :)

I'm betting that even if Kerry wins with a landslide (which as we all know a landslide curiously enough is accomplished with a few points, and that is incomprehensible to the average person)-- then they will once again pretend that a few points is NO BIG DEAL, and poke the symbol system that lies at the root of everyone's lizard brain layer..

Like I said, I'm glad I'm in Hawaii, easier to apply for political asylum if BushCo decides to declare marshal law and let loose the freeper types on us all..

all that is missing are the brownshirts.

Does Delay still have enough credibility to send his thugs to other states again?

I REALLY do NOT like the tone of this letter, usually they are much craftier - this seems a little too blatant and "button pushing" for comfort.

The break-ins were investigated and the cops found no indication that they were anything political.

He's spreading gossip to foment violence. He's yelling "fire" in his crowded asylum. This should be exposed!
