3. I meant in the campaign
how will this affect whose momentum? Will it allow Clark to overtake Dean and potentially mean the end of all other candidates? (although I don't think any major candidates will drop out before Super Tuesday if they get slaughtered there, although I'm hoping Lieberman gets beaten brutally in Iowa and NH and gives it up)

4. I know what you meant...
Sorry for the way I responded. I just hate hypothetical. I guess my meaning is Super Tuesday will probably tell the story without guessing.

8. There is still February 3rd
If Dean wins Iowa and Clark wins NH, it'll come down to February 3rd.

2. Hypothetically, that would create an actual contest going into the next ..
..set of primaries. Feb 7th, isn't it?

Naturally, Clark winning NH would be bad news for Dean, but even worse news for Kerry.

(Not that it's gonna happen, of course ;) )

5. First of all...
These guys have GOT to stop teeing off on one another! This is going to bite us in the ass come November. The fact that Howard Dean had no minorities in his cabinet as the governor of VERMONT does not surprise or offend me. It is VERMONT.
Stick with the issues, slam Bush*, his policies, Karl Rove, there is a lot to talk about!
Let the race play out however it may, and remember, anybody but bush.

Dean, Clark, I have my preference but either will do.

6. Unlikely scenario

Dean wins in IA, and Kerry finishes a strong 2nd.

Kerry targets Clark (knowing Dean will win NH anyway) so Kerry can beat down Clark as much as possible for a week, and Clark loses the debate very badly (yes, I also predict that because of new scrutiny that has to be addressed by Clark), and Clark's poll number drops dramatically, then Clark is not going to be able to win NH, sadly.

7. If this actually happened, I like Clark in the longterm.
He has the money and appeal to win everywhere. Especially the AZ, OK, SC, VA, SD et al primaries.
