This IAEA story is going to SLAM Bush!
CNN covering it right now. IAEA sent a letter to the White House telling them about the explosives leading up to the war, 40 days of waiting and NOTHING in return! Wow. This is unbelievable ineptness on Bush's part.

This, coupled with Clinton-Kerry rally should spark a trend in the polls. Sadly I hope it can continue one MORE WEEK!

1. Remember, Clinton's not done
He's going on to Miami and then will spend several days in Arkansas campaigning because he insists that Kerry can still carry Arkansas.

15. guess where they're gonna turn up ?
Probably with Chalabi in Iran, or OBL in Pakistan, or at the Heinz-Kerry estate in PA.

Don't put ANYTHING past the BFEE.

5. "Rice informed Bush about missing weapons at one of his morning briefings"
McCLELLAN: Off-camera White House press secretary Scott McClellan says Rice informed Bush about missing weapons at one of his morning briefings and "the President wants to make sure that we get to the bottom of this."

10. The pResident wants to get to the bottom of this?????
The American people want to get to the top of this! If they knew it was there, an order had to have gone out to bypass the explosives. We invaded from the south, the explosives were 30 miles south of Baghdad, and we left NO troops to guard it even though we had to pass it on the way to Baghdad.

8. Regrettably I disagree...
it will be reported from time to time today, then slowly but absolutely surely, drift off, and be buried. Id be damn amazed if it were reported after today. That's the good ol' US media. The only way it will stay in the mainstream is if the KE04 campaign keeps bringing it up over and over and over, and any Dems who make their way to the media, keep bringing it up and slamming it home.

Will they mention it as much as Mary Cheney-gate or Teresa-gate. Nope.

Left to their own devices, the media will forget about it. Ive had MSNBC on since 15 minutes before the Kerry Clinton rally and I have not heard it mentioned ONCE. Not once. How the fuck they can live with themselves not slamming this story home saddens me, and scares the bejeezus out of me, frankly.

Who the fuck knows who has this stuff and what could happen? They key is the 'cover up'. But Ill be damned if it's on MSNBC...

12. You'd think so, wouldn't you?
But then, last week's Pat Robertson story (Bush telling him there wouldn't be any casualties in Iraq) should have sunk the Dummy. And the Duelfer Report should have sunk him. And the report that there were no WMDs in Iraq should have sunk him. And Abu Ghraib should have sunk him. And a net job loss over 4 years, and massive deficits, and fewer people with health insurance and more people falling into poverty and thousands of horribly wounded veterans and the complete destruction of our reputation overseas and Osama Bin Laden still on the loose - don't you folks get it yet? NOTHING IS GOING TO BRING THIS PRESIDENT DOWN. He is indestructible, at least in terms of the press bothering to make his life even the slightest bit less than fully comfortable and complacent.

He may lose next week, but there is no silver bullet, no magic formula that is suddenly going to shatter his support and send everyone over to vote for Kerry. The people who love him adore beyond all rational thought. Nothing is going to shake that worshipful veneration. Stop saying that this or that is going to destroy him. It ain't gonna happen. Sorry for being so blunt, but that's the truth. The press isn't going to do our job for us - we have to bring the scummy bastard down ourselves.

14. Brilliantly put, tomfodw
And I sadly agree. This explosives story should be breaking news, on constantly, but I dont hear it at ALL on MSRNC. They decide to interview airheads and ramble about shit nobody cares about.

Anyone care to toss in a guess at HOW FUCKING UNBELIEVABLY HUGE this would be if WJC was in office??

:wow::wow::wow:

He'd be in custody by sundown.

16. tomfodw - People looking for a silver bullet are at core lazy
and hope that "someone else's" hard work (volunteers, journalist, media, etc.) will turn the tide to Kerry. The truth is though, that all that shit doesn't matter. Each and every one of us has to shoulder some responsibility beyond just voting, to convince others that their vote matters and to get out and exercise it. It just takes a few hours, a few days if you can spare it. Get connected with ACT, the DNC, MoveOn, and the host of others. They can use all the help they can get big or small to turn out the vote for Kerry!

Kerry On,

- K

13. Sent a letter???
Excuse me, but this information is ONLINE!!!!! Any idiot can look it up and know what was there and where it was. I DID, in 2003. The IAEA didn't need to send Bush a letter, this is something they absolutely KNEW. No excuse for this shit whatsoever.
