These three states are cucial for KErry. Kerry can't likely win without atleast two of the three (and the two are MN and WI)...So how are things holding up? I heard the MN rally was huge. That's great news.

What about WI and IA?

All three are very close and it's no surprise because they were all close in '00 as well...part of it was due to Nader, so luckilly he doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

1. The DFL will Never, not Ever, let this man take our State.
That's the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party, friends (but you already knew that. :hippie: And I will be slogging through some seriously republican neighborhoods on 11/1 and 11/2 to make sure we win Minnesota, and not by a couple of percentage points. :headbang:

3. Looking good in Milwaukee
Lots of great Kerry yard signs, and the neighbors are talking up the ticket.

4. Depends on who you ask
I think we need to firm them up, but they look ok when Survey USA and the corporate media polls aren't factored in.

6. Iowa
I am confident we will be fine here. We are kicking *'s ass in absentee ballots. However, I am going canvassing tonight, tomorrow, and possibly Sunday.

5. There was a great analysis on one of the blogs last night..

It looked at the internals for the two Iowa polls and debunked them outright. SUSA and Mason-Dixon, if I recall correctly. I'll do some looking to see if I can find a link. It made me feel much better.

Update: here's one link with internals. They were - surprise! - skewed in favor of the GOP.

They are critical. If we lose WI we need Iowa and NM.

10. Not too bad in northeastern WI
This is normally a very Republican area, but I'd have to say that I've seen more Kerry yard sign than Bush. And last Friday Kerry came to Appleton and 10,000 people stood in the cold and rain to hear him. I'm not saying that this part of the state has come over from the dark side, but we won't get beat up either. Milwaukee and Madison are always Democratic.

11. minnesota
is looking good.

I just got back from Little Falls, a town in Central Minnesota. My daughter and I stopped at the local independent book store. Two 50+ year old patrons said, "We can't shop here, they have 'unfit for command'." (It was not prominently displayed and was high up on the shelf.) They were wearing "Kerry" buttons.

We then went to a local cafe, the Black and White. We saw a bunch of blue and red balloons in the back. Pretty soon folks carrying signs for Kerry and for Rep. Oberstar started coming. Then there appeared all kinds of home-baked deserts on the counter. It was a Democratic Rally Party.

What a great way to end a day.
