10. Sure...
The repug. guest host (I don't know him) began trumpeting the new repug ad. They showed a clip of the ad, and people in the audience started LAUGHING!!!

The guy kept trying to say how powerful this ad was, and Paul Begala started crying "The puppies are coming! The puppies are coming!" As the guy kept insisting it was a powerful attack on Kerry's lack of credibility on terrorism, Paul said "These are PUPPIES!!! What's next, Garfield the Cat?"

20. Nothing, but Dogs need equal time
Ever heard of a guard cat, or a police cat, or a seeing-eye cat? They also use dogs to find people trapped in collapsed buildings--need I go on?
I happen to love dogs--like you do cats.
I don't mind it at all if you love your cats.
I would just like to see more dogs

cats and dogs are different.

Dogs are your friend. If you want to eat, they are down with that. If you want to play, they are down with that. If you want to sleep, they're already there. If you need to kick someone's ass, they're down with it.

Or bury a body.

Your dog is down with whatever.

Cats? Not so much. As you noted, they are fluffy. :D

They questioned whether or not they were up to the job.

Videos of blind people falling off of brick walls, crawling over rooftops, an dashing across the street when the light turns green for the cross-traffic were hilarious...but not as much as all those blind people in that tree with dogs barking up it.

Ever had to peel a cat off your leg to keep it from trying to hump you?

35. A freeper who works with me came into my office today
and described the ad. He thought it was very "powerful." (That must be the buzzword Rush and the other right wing stooges are telling everyone to use.) Without seeing it, I reserved judgment.

After seeing it, all I see is more of this Bush-Cheney "we're gonna die" bullshit. And aren't those puppies cute?

Maybe it's "powerful" if you're auditioning for something on PeeWee Herman, or something.

59. Can you believe it?
After years of jokes about the terror alerts and "the boy who cried wolf", they actually produced an ad in which they literally cry wolf, using visuals of wolves??????

This, I believe, tops the ad where they clumsily used the piece of the homemade ad with Bush's face fading into Hitler's.

I swear, sometimes I think we've got a mole doing ad production in the Bush/Cheney campaign.

It must have been an omen. I drove my son to school rather than having him wait at the bus stop with them hanging around.

The wolves in the comercial aren't near a farm, they're in the middle of a forest, and they look more beautiful than vicious.

basically 30 seconds. Forest, trees, wolves sitting in field with female voice over of Kerry voted blah blah blah while those who wait to attack blah blah as wolves get up and run off in slow motion. Maybe if we used those wolf pups to go sniff out the WMDs. Bugs me to see animals used to symbolize the enemy, aren't wolves an endangered species as it is?

That's the "POWERFUL" ad? Some huskies running around in the woods?! It looked more like an ad for SUVs or beer or maybe a PSA about forest fires or litter.

Maybe BushCo needs to lay off the loyalty oaths when they conduct focus groups to view these ads. Maybe then someone would've told them the truth. LOL! "Powerful" - give me a fucking break.

64. I think the wolves are awesome, beautiful, powerful creatures. And,
the forest... oh my God, being from central AZ that forest really gets to me. If only that narrator would shut the fuck up, it would be a great ad but, not for Bush - for the Sierra Club.

70. Here's my version of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf"

I reworked the "Wolves" Bush Commercial because I couldn't stand this commercial being touted as THE big Bush Ad buy of the Century - so I created a Quicktime version that is more suitable - called "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" --

I think THIS ONE will take some of the swelling out of Chimpy's head..

I think it helps to bring up the fact that Bush sat on his ASS during 911 while the REAL WOLVES brought the world down.

Pass it around if you will - I'm still LOL over the giant cockapoo!

It would really be funny if Triump the Insult dog would do a bit on this commercial..

75. When I watched the ad on my computer
my 7 yo son walked by, saw the wolves and said "aw, they are so cute!" Good going, Shrub, we're so scared by the big bad wolves. Not.

77. 2 things
you could have used my cat Freddy as a guard cat. His other name was Flying Fists of Fury. He was one bad cat and I have the scars to prove it. Sadly, since we lived in the country in Calif. I think the coyotes or cougars might have got him, but I'll bet he marked them up pretty well.
Those wolves, so beautiful and just laying there minding their own business till they were startled and ran off in all directions. They are smart enough to know humans are dangerous. Funny thing about the narrator, my daughter told me a woman was talking through the whole thing and I swear I did not hear a word she said. Gee, really effective ad, eh?

87. God I hope they show this ad over and over.
It's hilarious and the "boy who cried wolf" jokes are going to be killer.

If this is the best they can do I'm gonna start feeling real good about this last week of the campaign.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOO!
