New AP poll just this morning -- Kerry 49%, Bush 46%
This was announced on CNN this morning by Carol Lin. Of course, she was quick to point out that it is within the margin of error.

What she failed to mention, of course, is that any incumbent pulling only 46% at this stage of the game is crisp toast!

1. Yes, I kept hearing earlier on this year that if Bush fell below 50%

in a favorbility rating, no president has ever won in that percentage. I haven't heard that in a while. Of course the polls are over the place.

2. Yes, it says a tie on Yahoo too
Amazing that when Kerry is up by 3, they're careful to call it a tie because it's within the MOE. If Bush is up by 1, they love to say that Bush leads Kerry.

4. The graduated media scale...
1%= "Bush leads Kerry."
2%= "Bush has strong lead."
3%= "Bush has a commanding lead."
4%= "Why did Kerry even bother being born?"

5. Carol
It's a toss up over who is the worst, this Carol or Carol Costello, for whom I have developed zero tolerance.

9. I'd guess that this, when averaged with others, means..
that Bush's average vote right now is somewhere around 47%. That's pretty dangerous for him.. it's his ceiling.
