Just announced by Wolf Blitzer, a one hour version this Friday on Sinclair.

1. Good!
Low viewership and financial ruin for all their advertisers!

2. OK,
so I'm outing myself as a non-sports person here, but does that either pre-empt or run against a baseball game? (depending on which station, of course) or are there no games on Friday night?

3. High school football!
Small towns turn out big time for their high school teams.

4. I'm a huge sports fan but not baseball
Unfortunately, I think Friday is an off night prior to the World Series. Both championship series are 3-2. The Yankees/Red Sox play game 6 tonight, so that series will defintely be over before Friday, barring rain delays. The NL game six is tomorrow so I would guess game seven would follow Thursday.

Given the low viewership on Fridays, I'm confident MLB would wait until Saturday to start the Series. Again, I'm not enough of a fan to follow this or look it up.
