Dirty Rotten Trick proposal: Attack the gullibles in the heartland
with an e-mail campaign--"Pass this on to every Christian you know"--arguing in the voice of a typical Christian e-mail campaign that Bush is the anti-Christ sent by Satan to destroy the Church in America and the World. Is there a DUer in the hizzouse who can make an utterly convincing e-mail along these lines, complete with references to Revelation, and get it out there fast? The object, of course is to demoralize the Christian wingers into sitting out this vote. Of course by far most of them will not.

Of course many DUers will think this is not worth the effort for that reason. Or for the reason that it is dishonest. Actually, it is not entirely dishonest, insofar as Bush is a pretty good ringer for the anti-Christ, as far as I can tell. Basically, we would be putting an argument Christian wingers **should** be having amongst themselves but are too winger-y and not Christian enough to be having. This message is really for their own good. Alas, we should have started this months ago, for everyone's own good.

1. Include "Bush is not a churchgoer"
He drank his libido to death and thought he had become virtuous because he was impotent. When they told him he was impotent, he thought they said Important and the ego just kept on and on from there.

He never said he was a Born Again. He doesn't go to church. He likes to kill people. He is a false Prophet.

2. We ought to be able to use these poor saps' suckerishness against them

We ought to be able to pull the wool over their eyes as well as their preachers and Republican representatives do, but we'll be doing it for their own good!

3. Tell'em Bush ain't even a Christian
He's just a con man who pretends to be a devout Christian just to trick them into voting for him and his minions in Congress.

4. Even better
Send out something from a fictitious gay Christian group endorsing Bush and put it under the windshields of thousands of cars in church parking lots on Sunday, Oct. 31.

Also maybe print one saying Bush refused to command all Americans to celebrate Halloween on Saturday 10/30! He stands idly by while the entire nation holds a Satanic holiday on the Sabbath!!

8. First one is a good idea
Gay Christians for Bush.

Other than that, I don't think dissing Bush's religion itself is a good idea, as I don't think many of those Fundies would believe it.

What would work more is something along racial lines or something that implies weakness:

a) Bush fathered an illegitimate black child when his daddy was president. (worked against McCain)

b) Bush is taking medication for X
