Kerry abandoning swing states: CRAZY LIKE A FOX?!
Several people in states like Virginia and Missouri have bemoaned the Kerry campaign's lack of support in terms of advertising, etc.

From what I see here, these states are VERY MUCH in play. I live in Texas and as we get closer and closer to the election, I see a tremendous grass roots effort for a state that Bush will undoubtedly win. We are hard at work here.

I can only imagine what the grass roots efforts are like in these swing states. The TV ads give Kerry's campaign a visible presence, but it doesn't mean that when they are pulled there is no desire to win those states. I urge all of you in these so-called abondoned swing states to redouble your own efforts and show that we can take several of these states.

It is there for the taking! Help Senator Kerry with all you've got!

HELP IS ON THE WAY!

Tally ho!

1. take it from someone in a swing state
with tons of staffers. THE GRASSROOTS EFFORTS ARE PAYING OFF HUGELY IN COMPARISON TO WHAT THE PAID STAFFERS ARE ACCOMPLISHING!!! EVERYONE has to keep up the hard work - we have only a couple more weeks to go, and if you only have five minutes, then make a phone call via the Phone Corps. Do SOMETHING every day to help the campaign, because it is up to US!

And if you need some help with direction, consider volunteering for ACT. They've had a visible presence here, and I think they're going to make a huge difference for us.

and THANK you to everyone who is coming to WI to help out! PLEASE keep it up!!! :yourock:

2. There are only about eight
swing states left. Probably fewer since in think PA is now safe. MO and VA are not swing states.

3. That's up to the voters
And the people out there doing the work on the ground. There's actually only a few states that aren't swing states, alot fewer than what the newsmodels repeat. Don't discourage people who are trying so hard to get these criminals out of the White House.

9. Ditto :/
I guess Kerry know that large percent of California is voting for him.. but still I want to have him to come over and give us a rally.. oh well. I missed the opportunity to see Michael Moore in Los Angeles few days ago :(

8. Have no idea what the hell you are talking about but THIS I KNOW
..when you have a campaign abandoning any state IT IS NOT GOOD. They don't abandon it because they think a bunch of grassroots people are going to give them a huge victory. THEY ABANDON IT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE TOAST. Cite me one state that was abandoned in the past where the guy who abandoned it won the state. It is not a good sign...unless poll showed that they had sown it up by a good double digit lead. Deal with it.

10. That attitude won't help
You may be right, but on the other hand, you have to "walk toward the light"! Presenting a negative, disaffected attitude will not endear you to any swing voters.

Regardless of whether Kerry expects to take these states or not, it is up to us to DO IT!

Tally ho!
